Title:
BROKEN HEART
BROKEN HEART
When I met you, in your love,
I was truly so blind.
I found all virtues in you,
But no flaw could I find.
You were the most beautiful;
Your BLUE eyes were tender.
Lilting SWEETNESS of your voice
Did me, speechless, render.
I was sure you were faithful,
In you, I had full TRUST.
Scarce I knew love was for you,
Another name for lust.
Love and FROLICK were, for you,
Two sides of the same coin.
You did not part with your heart,
But, mine, you did purloin.
My love was sincere and pure,
Yours was but a token.
Had I known your INTENTIONS,
My heart won’t be broken.
