THE LAST JUMPEntry #418490
THE LAST JUMP

How small I am?
How small my time?
How small my worth?
How big desire?

A tiny seed,
Randomly sown,
I became a
Shell of my own.

I nurtured it.
I plundered it.
I conjured it.
I puffed it up.

Now it is pierced,
It lies shattered,
Torn and tattered,
Leaking balloon.

On my final
Legs I totter.
Yet, valiantly,
I take the plunge.

I know how will
End this last jump:
In cold and dark
Pit, with a thump.
