IN PRAISE OF VANILLA


Of the flavors I know of
While choosing ice-cream,
I always choose vanilla,
My one and only dream.

No doubt it is tasty, yet,
There are other factors;
It is pure and plain, without
Confusing detractors.

No need to remember those
Funny and fancy names,
No need for remembering,
Their contents, to take pains.

One has to find out whether
The special types are there.
Vanilla ice-cream is sure
To be found everywhere.

One last thing, but not the least;
It is the one cheapest.
Vanilla at half the price
Than all others, is best.
