US, I DO LOVE YOU BUT...Entry #466226
US, I DO LOVE YOU BUT...

US, I do love you but
I hate your policies.
Colonialism is ov’r.
Why expand overseas?

If you don’t have enough oil
Then reduce consumption.
To control oil exporters,
Don’t threaten extinction.

US, I do love you but
I do not like the fact,
For WMD you made
With UK a vile pact.

You knew that WMD
Did not in fact exist.
Yet, in spreading this falsehood,
You did always persist.

US, I do love you but
I simply hate the war.
Thousands of bodybags have
Arrived back home so far.

Why can’t you, O dear US,
Focus rather inward,
Than trying to make your hold
Tighter on world outward?
