WEDDED TO POETRY: a sonnet



It’s so easy to blame God for our ills,
We gloss over all that he’s given us.
In His own scheme our all needs He fulfills,
In our ignorance we make lot of fuss.

Only He knows what is His grand design,
Which He has planned for the rest of our life.
We want that all the days we get sunshine,
And one rainy day causes mental strife.

When He takes something He gives another.
He did so to me, this I can’t forget.
I lost my wife causing me to shatter.
But, gift of poetry I did then get.

Although God has taken away my wife,
Thanks I’m wedded to poetry for life.
