Pretty Things and Fairy WingsEntry #482960
I'm nearly done with my first fairy doll. Worked on her almost all day yesterday. She's made from a pre-made doll form (known as a Bendi Doll). I've customized her with eyelash/chunky yarn hair, paper twist wings, and a lace and fabric dress. The fun part was painting on her stripey stockings. They came out really cool (purple and daaaark green/black). She's currently posing on the entertainment center in my living room. At least, until I finish her.

Today, whilst working, I've been pondering ideas for other dolls. See, I have a package of wooden spoons that are just begging to be made into something.....and dolls are a natural choice for me. Maybe something kinda primitive, like prayer dolls. That would be most groovy. And I can use natural materials to decorate them..... Hmm....

Thank goodness it's nearly time to go home. Usually when I get to the afternoon part of a Monday, I'm all tuckered out and ready for a nap. And today, I just want to create! I bet I can even get my kids involved. *Smile*
