SURRENDER TO THE SILENCE
SURRENDER TO THE SILENCE
When you are troubled in the heart,
Your peace of mind is gone;
When you feel that in an abyss,
You are suddenly thrown;
When your cries meet only but a
Never ending silence;
When none is bothered about you,
Even as a pretence;
When all the earlier sweet sounds
Are now to you a noise;
When in the worldly drama you
Find hard to keep your poise;
Then what you need is to retreat
In silence of the mind
And listen effortlessly to
The voices you there find.
Out of all the voices that may
Be worthy of mention,
You will find one that constantly
Craves for your attention.
Harken to that and surrender
To that voice of silence.
For that is His own voice, truly,
The voice of your conscience.
