LIFE IS LIKE A ROSE
Life’s a bowl of cherries but
It gives lemons sometimes.
On some days we get dollars,
On others only dimes.
In fact life is like a rose,
With flowers and the thorns.
On some days petals grace us.
We get pricked on some morns.
I just can’t forget the day
When I did miss my flight,
Only to learn later that
It met an evil blight.
Soon after the plane took off,
It exploded midair,
Killing all the paasengers.
I had an escape rare.
That’s why it is rightly said:
Accept what be your fate.
Let not mind be burdened by
Needless negative weight.
