Biker GrrrlEntry #497530
Yesterday my dad let me borrow his truck and I loaded up our bikes. Me and the kids went down to the River Walk to go riding. We parked at Murray Lock and Dam. Then we went over the Big Dam Bridge (yes, that's what it's known as) and over to the Little Rock side of the Arkansas River. Eric and I did fine on our bikes. Charlie.....well, let's say she needs more practice riding her bike. Even though it has training wheels, she managed to scare me to death. Descending the bridge, she took her feet off the pedals and was virtually out of control as she careened down the slope of the bridge. I was yelling at her to use her brakes while pedaling furiously to try to keep up with her. Needless to say, I was a little freaked out by that.

Then she got tired really quick as we got back on level ground. The weather wasn't really hot yesterday but it was pretty sunny. She is kind of sensitive to the heat anyway, and her face was flushed pink in no time. My poor baby.....

So, after a good rest at a pavilion, we turned around and headed back over the bridge to our truck.

I think if it were just me and Eric, we could've done the entire River Walk route. The riding wasn't really strenuous and I wasn't even worn out. And there was a lovely breeze too.

Tonight is the Evanescence concert. I'm going with my buddy Cathy. I called her last night to go over details (like when to meet up, what to wear, etc.). She's going to wear a "high goth" outfit. I'm not feeling as goth-y, so I'll just find something comfy, probably kinda hippy, to wear. I bet I stand out like a flashing neon sign amongst the goth set. Feh.

Like the title description of this blog says, "It all depends on the mood I'm in." *Smile*
