The Oscar Report – Issue I: May 2007

Food bowl: empty (I scoffed the lot in one go)
Water bowl: half-full, water temperature: tepid
Number of accidents: 1 wet (behind couch)
Number of no-no’s: 1 (chewed a piece of art by Nathalie)
Latest discovery: Annie’s colleagues in the office will feed me goodies when she’s not looking

I am beginning to settle down with Anne and Nathalie. I am meeting my new Daddy, Neil, for the first time this evening. I hope he brings me goodies. I have met a lot of new people and furry friends already. I have been taken Nathalie to school and collected her from the after school club. I love being around kids and hearing them tell me how cute I am.

With grown-ups it is a little bit different. They are so tall! I am still a bit shy but once I get to know them I am fine, and it is woof! awesome to make so many new friends. Annie has taken me with her to work these past two days. Apparently this is so I cannot get up to trouble on my own at home but *doggy snigger*… sneaky I managed to squeeze in a poop in the foyer at the office yesterday Smile

My canine friends Snuggi and Coffey are great fun. Coffey plays with me a lot and lets me bounce around him as I please. He even lets me drink out of his water bowl and chew his ear. Snuggi is a bit more distanced. I guess he’s an old man but he hasn’t growled at me yet so it must be a good sign. I am trying to copy the two dogs next door; they are very good at barking at anything and everything which sounds like brilliant fun. Anne and Nathalie tell me off when I bark too much though, so perhaps I’ll have to use my bark sparingly!

I discovered a potential new toy yesterday when we were heading for a walk: two bird chicks were on the ground, hopping around trying to fly. I thought it would be excellent
fun, chasing them around you know, to get them off the ground but Annie wouldn’t let me. Oh well, I will have to stick to my furry cow for now then.

I am in the office right now, having a snooze, occasionally having my ear scratched, walking off for a drink of water, barking at anyone that comes in the door – after all, it is my job to look after my Mummy!

Back to sleep – end of report for today. Woof!
