Report 2 - early JuneEntry #513271
The Oscar Report – Issue II: 2nd June 2007

Food bowl: empty (again – rationing my food perhaps?)
Water bowl: mostly full as it’s lovely and warm here at the moment
Number of accidents: oh I am losing count…
Number of no-no’s: 3 (2 shoes - though not the same and feathers off Nathalie’s dream catcher)
Latest discovery: The lake behind the house – lots of other dogs to sniff out!

Well, my first 2 weeks have been rather eventful. Nathalie and Annie are both quite patient with me although I keep wetting the carpet. Sometimes I make it to the tiled areas in the kitchen and hallway, but sometimes I like to catch them out, keep them guessing. I also made a new friend, Sarah, a girl from the neighbourhood. She took me out a couple of times but she keeps carrying me around so I couldn’t do my poops and wee-weeies, so Annie was a bit surprised when I came back after an hour’s “walk” and the first thing I did was relieve myself… Onto one of her shoes (and partly, into one of her shoes)… so she wasn’t best pleased and had words with Sarah. I just sat there, looking from one person to the other and found it all rather exciting!

I also met Neil and he took me out for lots of walkies at the weekend. He also tends to put a bit more food in my bowl than Annie and Nathalie, good job he’s not realised he’s only supposed to give me 80gram at a time Smile The food is truly, truly scrumptious Smile

Now that I am a little bit older, we go on longer walks rather than just to the green for a play. Across the street marks the start of a nice nature area (though we have to cross a big road to get to it). There’s lots of tall grass, pathways and even a lake to explore. I am soooo keen to jump into the water but I am not allowed yet. I guess I will just have to catch Annie off guard and jump right in – that’d be fun, don’t you think?

Oh, and I visited the vet’s today. I’ve already had my jabs and been chipped, so now we are just continuing with the worm treatment (have you ever tried those tablets? They are foul! There should be a law forbidding people to serve just truly horrid stuff to us dogs! They could at least make them beef flavour or something, make them go down better!!) and I also got some drops for my ears. They make my ears tickly but I think the infection is going down already.

I’m off to check out what’s for dinner tonight!
Lots of woofs - Oscar xox
