Brilliant light, slanting down,
Scatters rainbows all around.

Hits the glass and breaks apart,
Shatters violently, like my heart.

A prism sits, upon my desk,
Testament to love's burlesque.

You left it there, that day you quit,
Walked from my life, you little twit!
