Blows mournful and lonely.
Out where the wind
Sings its deadly sad song.
Out where the wind
Cries its heart out for nothing.
Out where the wind
Sighs and mourns all night long.

Out there a man
Can become something special.
Out there a man
Can learn his true name.
Out there a man
Tests his will against nature.
Out there a man
Can bury his shame.

Out where the wind
Steals the stars from the sky.
Out where the wind
Hides the secrets that plague us.
Out where the wind
Rips the plants from the top soil.
Out where the wind
Runs a race with the horseless.

Out there a man
Shows his true mettle.
Out there a man
Knows what he's made of.
Out there a man
Is forced to be honest
Out there a man
Knows the value of love.
