Part VII – Between the Portals

Chapter Thirty-Two  -  The Path to Talon

They followed the wolf,
Anad he was named
As they weaved across
the valley’s steep plain.

They climbed the sheer hills
reaching the summit at night fall
Gathering wood for a fire
setting camp awaiting the call.

Anad left their presence,
claiming with Talon, he would return
Chanting in harmony
they watched the fire dance as it burned.

The three drank and ate
with quiet contemplation occasionally
letting their eyes focus
upon each other lost in their own revelry.

As MoonChild and Lilith
lay out their bedrolls,
Talon and Anad
completed their shadows

that afforded them presence
before they were seen in full light.
DragonBlue was surprised at
Talon’s hair and beard of pure white.

His robes no longer
held the Mage’s quiver
But were now the
Symbols of Wizard.
