Workaholic Much?Entry #635726
I spent yesterday running my tail off. I put the car in the shop for a transmission flush, oil change, and an overall evaluation as to whether it would last for another year. The mechanic said it should give me another year without a problem which is great because that means I won't have to rush out and replace it. The car is tiny and cramped and falling apart a little but it's mechanically sound for the most part. I am loathe to part with it because I love the car but I was really loathe to part with it when I knew all I'd have was $3,000 with which to buy a new car. This time next year I should be able to put down a significant deposit, buy a car at about 50 or 60% of it's value through the auction and finance the remainder. I'm looking for a Grand Prix to replace my current one and even at an auction they run about $6K - 8K because they're solid little cars.

After that I took Libby home and put her to bed. When she got up we got her hair cut, got food, and went to pick up the boys. She must have gotten to hot waiting for them because she threw up on the way home so I had to rush around and deal with that before picking up Jessi. Then I spent the rest of the day updating my client database and getting my notes organized. I have about 20 - 30 letters to send out today.

I also ordered my new phone and should be getting it today. I purchased the airline tickets to California too and got them for $200 cheaper. It wasn't the dates I wanted but thats ok. I just can't wait to see my sister! I'm also planning to be able to go down to Florida and out to New York and New Hampshire this summer since I don't have to replace the Pontiac.

All in all, my spending plan is going very well. I'm saving money everywhere that I can to make it last longer. I'm working my ass off in my business and it's showing results. All in all I'm very pleased with how it's all going. I just hope it lasts for once.
