The latest from Woody Allen, Vicky Cristina Barcelona returns to Allen's more comedic efforts, rather than his recent frighteningly dark side like Match Point and Cassandra's Dream. It wasn't nearly as funny as his earlier work, where he often played the starring roles himself, but it did have its share of witty little Allen quips delivered by Rebecca Hall and Scarlett Johansson, playing Vicky and Cristina, respectively. If you're a die-hard Allen fan, then of course you'll see this one. The shots of Barcelona's beautiful architecture alone are worth the view, and Penelope Cruz is the quintessential fiery Spanish woman.
