Fire Song by Catherine CoulterEntry #653361
Genre: Historical Romance

Summary: Kassia de Lorris's father had no idea she would live after a strong fever hit her. And knowing he was on the brink of his own death, he could think only of his kingdom ending up in the hands of his corrupt nephew. So, he marries Kassia off to the harsh warrior, Graelam de Moreton, who he believed to be an honorable man who could take care of his kindgom. However, when Kassia lives through the fever, Graelam finds himself with a wife. At first, he cannot help but love her, but when he thinks she has betrayed him, he acts like a man scorned. Now, Kassia must make him see that she is as honorable as he.

Why I Picked It Up: This novel is one of a series by Coulter that I have greatly enjoyed.

My Opinion: This book, even though it had a heart-warming ending, was hard to make it through. Graelam is anything but nice to Kassia when he thinks she betrayed him, and it's not a pretty sight. In fact, it's rather heart-breaking. I always liked Graelam, but he is pig-headed, just like any other male. It's good, though. Of course it is.

My Rating: Four Stars
