An Improper Proposal by Meg CabotEntry #659771
Genre: Historical Romance

Summary: Payton Dixon might as well have been born a boy. Growing up without a mother, she was raised by a father who knew nothing about women and owned a shipping company. Naturally, she learned the same things her three older brothers did- how to sail. Unfortunately, she didn't learn how to attract a husband. Lucky for her, she had Connor Drake, a man who practically joined the family when he was still a teenager. Payton and Drake always took for granted that it would be them, but when Drake is forced to marry someone else, Payton's heart is in ruins. Now, Payton has to uncover the secret that has Drake captive.

Why I Picked It Up: One of the few Meg Cabot novels I have left to read :)

My Opinion: Definitely one of the best Patricia Cabot novels. Even though I knew pretty much what Point A and Point B were, I had no idea how the characters were going to get from one to the other. It was interesting to see such a masculine personality in a heroine, and a stubborn one. But Drake was just to die for.

My Rating: Four and a Half Stars
