Along for the Ride by Sarah DessenEntry #662915
Genre: Young Adult

Summary: Auden has grown up with one goal engrained in her brain by her parents: be successful. In their minds, the natural teen experiences weren't necessary. But the summer after graduation, when Auden goes to stay with her father and his new wife and child, she realizes that all the things she missed out on would suddenly become her most important experiences. And a boy named Eli Stock, who has lost more than Auden can imagine, will open her eyes to everything she missed and everything she needs.

Why I Picked It Up: Sarah Dessen is just one of the most amazing young adult writers today. She has such a wonderful gift for creating loveable and wonderful characters, and I absolutely love her novels.

My Opinion: This book blew me away and took me back to the wonderful novels that she has written in the past that I fell in love with. Her last one Lock and Key, sort of made me forget what a great writer she was, but this one made me remember, and I seriously fell in love with Auden and Eli. It was just a wonderful book and an amazing story line.

My Rating: Five Stars
