Summary: Grace was bitten when she was a kid. Sam was there to save her. But she hasn't seen him since. Unlike her friends, Maggie doesn't spend her time thinking about school or shopping. Instead, she spends all her time thinking about the wolves that inhabit the woods behind her house. Especially, her wolf. The wolf that she watches and that watches her. And then she meets Sam. Perfect, wonderful Sam. Tortured Sam. And Maggie has to figure out how to help him, before she loses him.

Why I Picked It Up: I wish I had a concrete answer for this. From the moment I saw this sitting on the new release shelf, I was taken. I kept seeing reviews about it online and passing it up in the bookstore. Then I made the mistake of reading the first page. And I decided I had to have it. So I bought it.

My Opinion: It's true that the book wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it was heartbreakingly wonderful. I cried my heart out and laughed out loud. I absolutely loved it. I think it was the best thing I have read since Twilight, and that's saying a heck of a lot. I can't wait for the next one, though if it's anything like New Moon, I'm terrified. Sam and Grace are sweet and lovable and completely amazing.
