Death DayEntry #665293
"I can't believe anyone could screw up this bad! Why did you take her so early!"

I woke to a bright light and the sound of loud voices. I was feeling a bit groggy, even more so than usual. "Where am I?"

The loud voice I'd heard upon awakening answered me. "You're in Heaven."

I sighed. At least now I knew I was dreaming. But when I sat up, it all felt so real. The two men standing in front of me had perfectly angelic faces and were
both garbed in white robes.

         Oh, crap.

"Heaven?" The word came out a croak.

One of them sighed heavily. "Yeah, Heaven. You know, the place where God and the angels reside." His was the voice I'd heard before, the loud, angry one.

"Did I die?" I remembered standing on the curb, watching the traffic go by, and then suddenly...I was here.

The mean one put his hands on his hips and looked at the other guy.

He didn't look as angry. He even smiled.

"You weren't supposed to die for another six months. But yes, you're dead. No worries. We're putting you back." The mean one glared at the nice one.

The nice one gave him a tortured look. "But the way she dies is so horrible! This way was much easier."

"You don't get to decide that! It's not up to you; it's up to Him!" His shout echoed through...where ever we were.

I broke through the silence. "I'm going to die in six months?"

The nice one sighed. "I'm sorry, but that's the way it is."

He lifted a hand, and as my world started to go black again, I heard the mean once say, "Make sure you do it right this time."
