Ransom My Heart by Meg CabotEntry #671584
Genre: Historical Romance

Summary: Finnula Crais's sister is in big trouble. She's pregnant, unwed, and spent her dowry on new clothes. What else can she do but as her little sister to hold a rich man ransom so as to get money from his family? The only problem is Finnula kidnaps the wrong guy. He may be rich, but he's also an earl. But he doesn't tell her that. He's enjoying her company a little too much. What is Finnula to do when her prisoner becomes besotted with her? Well, give in, of course!

Why I Picked It Up: Although Meg Cabot wrote this under the name of one of her character's, Mia Thermopolis, so as to further develop the Princess Diaries series (an idea I found rather brilliant), it's still by Meg, therefore, I read it.

My Opinion: I really loved it. One of Meg's finest period pieces. I think this period is a good one for her to work in. I hope she does more here, even though I know she's pretty much done with the historical scene. I still think she should work more with it. Her others were good, but this one was better.

My Rating: Four and a Half Stars
