Cutting Loose by Susan AndersenEntry #676628
Genre: Romance

Summary: Jane was lucky enough to have friends like Ava and Poppy to get her through her less-than-privileged childhood, and she always promised herself she wouldn't live the passionate life her parents did. When a friend of hers dies and leaves her estate to her and her friends, Jane knows this will make her career. But then she meets Devlin, aka Trouble with a capital T. Too much passion for her. She refuses to let it get the best of her. But little does she know, someone is out to sabotage her job, and maybe her life.

Why I Picked It Up: I'm a huge fan of Susan's. She's a sweet woman and a wonderful writer. I was lucky enough to find this in my favorite used-book store and didn't hesitate to buy it.

My Opinion: Although I was sucked in a little more than halfway through, it took me a while to get through this. For some reason, the romance in this story wasn't Susan's usual. Neither of the main characters appealed to me when the story started. But after Jane met Dev's family, I saw them a little differently and liked the story better. Not her best, though.

My Rating: Four Stars
