A strange way to earn a living.Entry #687345
I went on a road trip with my parents today. At first our drive took us to an outlet mall where my mother wanted to walk through the "showroom" of the place where I work. I think she mainly wanted to take advantage of my 40% discount on the merchandise I sell over the phone on a daily basis. Ok, it was also good for me to look at some of our inventory face-to-face... It'll make it easier for me to tell the customer what it is they want.

On the way home we stopped in a middle-sized Pennsylvania town. Among the things they offer to tourists and townspeople are 444 flags to honor the days spent by American hostages in Iran. Right next door to these flags is a Pet crematory and funeral parlor with a dog wellness center and recreation yard.

I've heard of pet owners wanting to bury their pets and place a marker on the grave. But seeing a pet funeral parlor was a little bit outside of my comprehension. Don't get me wrong, I love my animals but I can't see myself having a service for them when they go to that better place.

Across the street from this place was a pet store that offered self-serve dog washing. If you're going to give your dog a bath why not do it at your own house. It'll save you money and your dog's dignity.
