Everything in life happens for a reason
learning to love myself and overcoming Cerebral Palsy not allowing it to overcome me. |
| When I was born. I was born breach not feet first,but rear end first. I was so tiny. I was placed in an incubator. I only weighed three pounds eleven ounces even though I was a full term baby. My left arm turned to stone. It had no fluid in it. The doctors told mommy and daddy not to expect me to live. If I did live I would probably be unable to walk,talk or have any intelligence at all. I would be a very slow learner if I lived. Well I must have had determination from that very first breath. I am here 47 years later living and breathing ready and willing to share my story with the world! I beat all the odds...miracles do happen! Thank you God for giving me life! Thank you to my sister Gwen for reminding me how lucky I really am! Thank you Oprah for making me want to believe in myself again! You helped me to realize that sharing my story may help other people realize that life really is a gift that God has given each one of us for a "REASON" and a "PURPOSE."
