Reflections on “Ever Met a Phor?”
Sunday, August 12, 2012 ~ Day 12 of the 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is Sunday's are a day of reflection. Tell us how your week was, what you did, and which Challengers entries resonated with you. This is also a great chance for you to review your favorite challengers blog through the review system.

Decisions! Decisions! Decisions! I think I’ve blogged or ranted before about how I feel about decisions. All that aside, I have made a decision on my favorite blog post of the past week.

Drum Roll

My favorite blog entry is "Ever Met A Phor ? by Wordsmitty . The title, Ever Met a Phor?, caught my attention and aroused my curiosity. Even though, I had a good idea that the subject was metaphors, I had to read the blog entry to make sure and learn the author’s opinion of the subject.

There was one paragraph in this entry that I can’t stop thinking about. This paragraph spoke to me and to my muse.
A metaphor sings sweetly, and excess becomes a choir. They are beacons of light to common speech. Stories dance off the page in a rainbow of colors rather than let text pantomime a tale.

In fact, the paragraph was so encouraging that I attempted to use metaphors when I wrote today’s entry in my offline blog.

Another thing I liked about Wordsmitty’s entry was the quotes. I like quotes because they give insight into another person’s mind, they are nice to use in meditation, and they provoke thought.
