It is quite possible that some entries may be so sad, sick, twisted, or troubling the only response is to laugh, which as I stated in the beginning of this items description, "Laugh and the world laughs with you..."
I've heard it said, "the ability to laugh keeps a person young."
It's a sick and troubling world WE THE PEOPLE are living in today, and the people that we've always looked to to make it better, just aren't
Haven't seen you around for awhile. Things are a mess, aren't they? I don't know if McCain is too old in years, but he's too old in his thinking. He seems to be planning on doing the same old thing - harder - and expecting different results. Some places that's called insanity. Welcome back!
Other than disagreeing that McCain is too old ... I'm basically with you on this.
I understand the economy is trashed. Tough times for the poorest of the poor I may add; much of the middle class has no clue.
However, I'm more concerned about Human Rights and individual rights. When neighbors are paranoid about each other and folks who 'have' feel the need to live behind walls because they fear the 'have-nots' ... the society collapses. We destroy ourselves. Something no foreign power can ever do as effectively.
I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all this. I can relate somewhat to money issues. Please though, don't put a dollar value on your life. You are worth so much more than money. I understand how finances can stress you out, but there is no dollar amount worth the beautiful light you bring to this world. Vent, rant and rave all you want here. Just please don't ever think you're not worth what these medical expenses are costing, because you are. Be encouraged. You are loved.

I'm 54, turn 55 in April ... God willing. Not so thrilled about being alive the last three years either. The traumas, anxiety and depression have overwhelmed me.
Yes. I hear you about your son. I have a friend I'd take a bullet for so I would feel the same way too. I don't understand some of the idiots in Washington. Does anyone?
Our age group went through some very specific events (JFK, MLK, RFK, Kent St., Viet Nam, Jim Crow, etc.) and it is hard to hear some of the rhetoric coming out of the national capitol. My mother, who's 84, feels as if everything her generation fought for is becoming unraveled.
I share your despair. But ... the sun will come out tomorrow (really, in Kansas it will! Zero but sunny in the morning.).
Wonder what they all did today? My mother will know ... she watches CNN and liked Ford (She disliked Nixon and her thoughts on Bush would land her in Guantanamo).
I don't know what kind of President Obama will make, but I know what kind of President Bush has been and I don't want any more of it... that's partly why I can't hardly abide the Republican Presidential Canidate McCain. And the above dollar figure does not include any of the multiple doctors who passed my way during those 7 days in critical care, and the 3 days I spent in Telemetry.
