Forget the following:

"Laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you cry alone"
by Ella Wheeler Wilcox (1855– ?)

Source: John Bartlett (1820–1905). Familiar Quotations, 10th ed. 1919.

THE ONLY THING NECESSARY FOR THE TRIUMPH OF EVIL IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING.
-Edmund Burke

-

LEARN TO DO GOOD; SEEK JUSTICE, REBUKE THE OPPRESSOR; DEFEND THE FATHERLESS, PLEAD FOR THE WIDOW.
-Isaiah 1:17

-

TEACH THIS TRIPLE TRUTH TO ALL: A GENEROUS HEART, KIND SPEECH, AND A LIFE OF SERVICE AND COMPASSION ARE THE THINGS WHICH RENEW HUMANITY.
-Buddha

-

Congress shall make no law respecting an established religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. - Bill of Rights, March 4, 1789

It is quite possible that some entries may be so sad, sick, twisted, or troubling the only response is to laugh, which as I stated in the beginning of this items description, "Laugh and the world laughs with you..."

I've heard it said, "the ability to laugh keeps a person young."

I don't know what kind of President Obama will make, but I know what kind of President Bush has been and I don't want any more of it... that's partly why I can't hardly abide the Republican Presidential Canidate McCain. Oh please... in my humble opinion he's just too old, and his handler's are not doing a very good job. I still have trouble believing that so many Americans were stupid enough to actually vote Bush in for a second term - thus really making it seem possi... [More]

It's been quite some time since I last posted here, and so much has happened and changed with me. I guess it's a good thing that nothing ever really stays the same, but for now... I look in the mirror and I'm older... older than I ever thought I would live to be. Life is an amazing gift - and I've taken it as much for granted as the next person. I've come to appreciate life so much more since I had a heart attack on January 1st, 2007. I am so grateful that I still have the... [More]

You know how everybody talks about everybody gains weight that quits smoking... well I'm not gaining any weight BUT my efforts to not smoke seem to require that I keep moving - seems I can't stay in one place very long or I'll find myself physically looking for something to smoke. Seems shopping is an excellant way to keep moving... the problem: I think I've spent more money since I quit smoking shopping. I'm not generally known for being a shopper... generally making me ... I mentioned back a few entries ago that I'd had a major coronary (heart attack) on January 1st, 2007. Well the hospital bill has just arrived - $95,331.25. $95,331.25 And the above dollar figure does not include any of the multiple doctors who passed my way during those 7 days in critical care, and the 3 days I spent in Telemetry. (Actually, I think the hospital uses the $25.00 word "Telemetry" just so they can charge more for what use to be merely a private room while a body... [More]

Yesss sirre... To my way of thinking nothing is m... [More]
