Thanks everyone! I didn't think anybody would remember me, so I just made up this silly blog on impulse. Still, it's nice to know that you're all still there, still the same warm people I used to know. :)
Actually, it is walking the stairs that induce labor. That was what the doctor told my wife.
Hanging in there! They said the longer the baby stay in Mom, the smarter and stronger the baby will be!
Always keep that in mind, and besides, be glad that it is in January. When my wife had our first one, it was July! She was ready to live in an icebox by then.
Either way, walking around and does everyday routines will help you when the time comes.
Good luck!
I can tell you're SO ready to have this baby... Take care of yourself, and a friend of mine actually hung her head off the edge of the bed to breathe better. Not sure if it worked or not, but that's what she did...
I feel for you, hun, having been there not that long ago. Walking should help move things along, but in the end it's up to the baby. You will survive, and once you see that adorable little face, all the discomfort and pain will be forgotten.
Passes tissues and nose spray in the hope it spares Pencils having to drill an extra nose hole.
I'm not even going to ask how you manage to seduce hubby with a 39 week bump in the way.
Hope the waitings soon over and like Tor I expect to see lots of photos of the pencil offspring.

Aw it is so good to see you back in here girl. I have often thought of you and wondered how things were going for you.
LOL @ the sex thing....After fathering five kids, I have decided that the best thing for inducing labor is walking, but then only when it is TIME for the baby to come. If the required gestation time has not passed then you're just out of luck.
You be sure and come back in here after the birth and leave us plenty of pictures.
Now I don't know from experience, but if you're desperate, I hear the movie theater popcorn butter'll do it.
My SIL used to work at one and she said she'd have very pregnant women in all the time asking for extra butter
Congratulations, and I hope that baby comes soon for you! I've had three, and you do get to a point where you'd almost rather get hit by a mack truck than endure another day.
