Writing is a misnomer now. We Type, rather than write. Thought typing is really the correct phrase. We think a thought and our fingers put it not on paper but onto a computer for safekeeping. Writing is a condition of Reading which is where we all obtain most of the information and unfortunately not as much from a newspaper as before. Reading the news on a computer is a poor substitute for a newspaper which goes into much more depth and explanation.

The world has been going to have a catastrophe for as far back as I can remember. Sometimes it feels like just one big catastrophe.

Quirky questions I don't have the answers to, but I SO wish Guy Fawkes was NOT part of our history, thus sparing us the weeks of unbearable fireworks we're subjected to at this time of year.

I have the same about that last one... ...

1. the inhabitants don’t require parking?
2. Maybe a dread of an empty house. It might be worse if you cried on the way to work. I’ve made that mistake and had to answer people’s (caring) twenty questions.
3. Given her circumstances I think this is compassion, which comes from love.
4. Everyone is different, there are no set time tables.
5. I don’t know the worst part. You are probably discovering it now. Keep writing.

ahhhh meat loaf, one of the ultimate comfort foods...good stuff. Will try your recipe as well, always looking for new things to try.

A while back I asked readers for their different meatloaf recipes and am still in the process of trying them all out. I'll add this one to it and hope I can find the ingredients in our rather unimaginative supermarkets. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I have no experience with this, but the bereavement meetings are probably the best thing you can do. Grief can be so isolating, and it's probably best for you to stay connected with others that have walked where you walk. You are in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't say that I'll ever understand death, so I'm a poor advisor. All I can do is let you know I dropped in and I'm sorry for your pain. I think your questions are relevant and natural. Grieving is a complicated process and there's no "right way" to do it. Let your soul do it in it's own way - and timing.

Some of what we feel when people we love pass and they've recently been very ill is relief for them because watching someone you love suffer hurts so much. Even though we didn't think we ever could let them go, this is when we realize how much we loved them; we let go because it's best for them, not because we didn't love them. Crying is a natural way to relieve stress and you're going to be doing this on and off for awhile while until your body is done grieving, it's a natural way to cleanse our hearts. Grief should last as long as you need it to..., just because you are grieving, doesn't mean you can't still move on or shouldn't be living your life. When it's time to stop grieving you'll know it, but there is no right or wrong time.
