11.  Forget Me NotID #685885

Edited: 1-30-2010 @ 8:08 pm EST

Isaiah 49:14-16
14But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Sometimes when things fall apart in our life, we feel that God has forgotten us. It is during these times that we have to remember, that God is carrying us in His arms. He has not forgotten us, He is just holding us when we are too weak to stand. Just when we look around, God shows us His power. He shows us in our most desperate times, that He is with us. When friends, family, and the rest of the world have given up on us, God has not forgotten us. He will be there in our darkest hour, even though some times we don't realize it. He is beside us every step that we make in life. Just like the footprints in the sand poem, He carried us when we could no longer make it. So when we notice just one set of footprints, let us remember, that God has carried us that last mile. Just like stated in these verses, a mother can forget her child. But we are God's children, and He will never forsake us. So when the world seems against us, remember God is for us. No matter what goes on in our life, God is always faithful and true. He will always be there for me and you. When times get tough, He will make a way to bring us through it all.

Father, I know that You have not forgotten me
You sent Jesus Christ, to set this sinner free

I know that You will forget us not
You are with us when we are on the spot

You will embrace us in the worst of times
You will be with us, when everything is fine

No matter what we may face each day
Lord, You are truly with us all the way

Father, when we see only one set of prints
We will know that in Your arms that time was spent

That You carried us when we could no longer stand
That You led us and took us by the hand

That You showed us the way we needed to go
You have not forgotten us, You love us so

10.  Strong In FaithID #685777
Posted: 1-29-2010 @ 5:47 pm EST

Abraham, who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:18-21

I know many times in our life, our faith has really been tested. That as we go through trials, sorrows, and grief, our faith becomes small. But just as we think we have fallen by the way, God renews our strength. He helps us through every event in our life. He craddles us in His arms, and reassures us that all will be ok. Through Him being with us, our faith is strenghtened also. He shows us by example that He will never leave us. Through happiness, heartbreak, and grief we couldn't have a better friend. God is with us, Jesus stated I am with you always, and is true to His word. At times our faith may be tested, it may be small at times. God will show us the way, and He will help our faith grow in His love. We just have to remember God's promises. He will never leave us, and in His time all things will be done. So when our faith seems so small, let us give God the glory for all that He has done, and keep believing and knowing that God will deliver on His word.

Father, many times our faith is so small
Then we remember You will not let us fall

Father, forgive us when we are filled with doubt
Through You there is always a way out

Help strengthen us daily, for what the day may hold
Let us hold onto Your promises, which the bible told

Father, when our faith is tested and tried
Let us focus on how Jesus was crucified

That we will experience suffering and pain
That strengthening of our faith is our gain

That Your promises stand for ever and ever
That You are with us always, and will leave us never

9.  She Is Not DeadID #685571
Posted: 1-27-2010 @ 8:19 pm EST

Luke 8:49-56
49. While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. 54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. 56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.
These verses were so fitting to the story I heard on K-Love today. They were telling how a man collapsed outside his garage, and they took him to the hospital, and doctors pronounced him dead. The funeral home came and picked him up, and his wife followed. She ask for them to get her husband's necklace off. When the funeral director went to take off the man's necklace, he realized he was still breathing. They called for an ambulance, and the man walked out of the hospital a short time later. He said the funeral director gave him a whole new outlook on life. God shows us in different ways how to appreciate life. Many times we have been given a second chance, and we need to make the most of it. God tries to open our eyes when we are blind, to open our ears to hear what He is trying to tell us. He wants us to open our heart, and love others the way that He has loved us. Many times He does miracles like this to show us, that He is still at work even in this day and time. He shows us that there is hope, no matter what each day may hold. By faith we can make it through anything, especially with God by our side. So just when we think everything seems hopeless, let us remember all that God has done, and continues to do. His power is amazing and He will show us what He can do each and everyday if we just believe and keep the faith.

Father, Thank You for showing us all the things that You can do
That with You Father, all things are possible, You will see us through

That no matter what we may face
You will help us to continue the race

You will open our eyes and ears
You will contain all of our fears

You will watch over us when times are tough
You will shelter us when the waves are rough

Father, Thank You for the miracles in life
The greatest being Your Son Jesus Christ

Father, Thank You, for opening our hearts
Filling them with love right from the start

Thank You, for opening our eyes when we are blind
That miracles You perform even in this day and time

8.  God Will Renew Our StrengthID #684914
Posted: 1-23-2010 @ 1:01 pm EST

Isaiah 40:31

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint

In our life we experience many ups and downs. Sometimes we feel like we are on a roller coaster, and that the ride will never end. We become weak and weary, burden by the weight of the world. But if we wait on God, we will not faint. He will strengthen us, and help us make it through every problem that we face. Just when it seems that everything is at its worst, God will open the window of opportunity. We just have to wait on Him, to be patient and let Him give us strength daily. If we walk with God daily, all things will work toward His glory. No matter how bleak the day may seem, God will make the sun shine, and show us things that we never imagined. He will help us soar like eagles, and lighten our load in this life. We just have to wait on Him, knowing that through His love and guidance we will not faint. He will give us the strength to carry on each and every day.

Father, when we are weary and weak
Words of comfort to us You always speak

When the world becomes too much
We are comforted by Your magic touch

When burdens begin to weigh us down
Comfort in Your arms can be found

If we wait on You, our strength is renewed
By Your love and mercy, we are rescued

Father, we will wait on You
Every day will start anew

In Your arms, we can soar
Knowing all is well ever more

When problems and trials arise
To Your arms we will always fly

7.  When We Don't Know What To DoID #684413
Posted: 1-19-2010 @ 10:28 pm EST

2 Chronicles 20:12
O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do; but our eyes are upon thee.

It amazes me that many times in my life, that I have failed to consult God when I am in trouble. That when the problems in my life seem impossible to be removed, I try to figure a way out by myself. As I have gotten older, I realize that when a decision needs to be made I consult God. When problems in my life raise like the oceans tide, I talk to God He helps us know what to do, God is our best resort when we are facing problems in our life, and don't know where to turn. He is the one that will never fail, His wisdom is supreme. If we ask others we may go in the wrong direction. We need to seek God's advice, no matter what problems we face. When we get in over our head, we need to realize that God is the only One we can count on. He will guide us in the right direction. He can do what seems impossible to us. There is no mountain that He can't move. I know during the last few years, that God's guidance is the only thing that has gotten me through. One thing is for sure, that no matter what we face God is always at our side. To carry us, when we have grown weak and feel faint. So when we don't know what to do, let us always go to God in prayer. He will lead the way, that we need to take.

Dear Father, when all seems lost I come to You
You have never failed to show me what to do

When the road is rocky, and filled with strife
You have given me comfort all of my life

When things seem to go so very wrong
You are the One that helps us stay strong

No matter what problems may come our way
You are the potter, I am the clay

Father, no matter what we may face
We have Your love and saving grace

There has never been a time that You have failed
No matter what my problem Your power will prevail

Your advice in prayer I will always consult
With You I always get a great result

My problems are fixed by Your mighty power
When we need You, Your always right there

6.  What Is The Point?ID #684066

Edited: 1-16-2010 @ 11:36 pm EST

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:21

Many times in our life, we encounter people who are hard to get along with. They want to fuss and fight, so we just walk away. Then at times we get so angry with them, and truly just want to scream what is the point. We ask ourselves why we keep trying to get along with the person. That many times people in our family stress us out, and we want to stay away from them. Just like in the verse above, if we love God we are to love one another. We are to let past hurts go, and we are to forgive others when they hurt us. We are to strive and live our life for Jesus Christ. No matter if someone tries to walk all over us, we need to forgive and forget. But we need to learn from our experience, and not place our selves back in the situation that caused the hurt. We don't want to hurt the others in ways that they have hurt us. We need to be forgiving and pray for the person who has caused us pain and hurt. I guess the point would be that many people will hurt us in our life time. They will say and do things, that will cut us to the very core of our hearts. In these times let us turn to God, and lean on Him for support and understanding. Many times people will be so cruel, but God knows what we are facing. He will mend the hurt and replace it with love. If we forgive others He will forgive us. God knows when we harbor anger, bitterness, and resentment towards others. If we are doing this, we need to let God clean out our inside. To rid us of the poison, that draws us away from Him. Let us show the world our love for God and for our sisters and brothers. Let forgiveness flow from our hearts, and love from God above be our light in our life.

Father, I know I say words out of hurt and anger
A sharp tongue can be a complicated danger

Father, let us express love for our sisters and brothers
Not to show resentment, and bitterness towards others

Father, I know the point is to love and forgive
To let our light shine for You as long as we live

Help me to realize to let the hurt go
To tell others how much I love them so

To let anger not reside in my heart
It causes damage, and tears me apart

Let me love others, as You have loved me
By sending Jesus Christ to set us free

5.  Nothing Can Separate Us From God's LoveID #683831

Romans 8:38-39 (King James Version)

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord

I truly love these verse, that nothing can separate us from the love of God. That no matter what we may go through, that God will be with us regardless. When we experience trials and tribulations in our life, God is right there. He will never forsake us, never will He leave our side. When we experience joy and happiness, God is there. When tears fall, God is there to wipe them away. When a loved one dies, God wraps us in His arms, and holds us while we grieve. There is nothing in this world, that separate us from God's love. I am so thankful that Jesus walks with us as we travel through this barren land. That when the world has turned against us, that the love is God is totally the same everyday. Just when we find ourselves getting depressed, God sends a ray of sunshine our way. It may be in the form of a rainbow, a beautiful rose, or just a beautiful sunrise or sunset. When we get discouraged, let us remember God loves us. No matter how tough things may seem, His love is enough to sub stain us through any crisis.

Father, Thank You for Your love
For sending Jesus from up above

Thank You Father, for wiping my tears
I Thank You Father, for calming my fears

I Thank You Father, for the joy You give
You will guide our steps as long as we live

Father, Thank You for watching over us day and night
Thank You for fixing problems when nothing seems right

Thank You for sending friends to brighten our day
Thank You for letting us tell of Jesus along the way

Father, I am Thankful, that nothing can separate us from Your love
One grand Day, we will meet You in all Your glory in Heaven above

4.  God Is The Potter, We Are The ClayID #683683

Jeremiah 18:1-10
1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.s4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it .ss5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it ;8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it ;10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

I love these verses. How the potter takes the clay, and when it is marred in his hand, he makes it into another vessel. God is the Potter and we are the clay. If we will let Him mold us, He can make a completely different person out of us. He can mold and mend us, so that He can use us for His glory. We need to be more flexible when it comes to letting God work in our life. We need to let Him mold and mend the cracks, that we have obtained over the years. God can change us in ways that we never imagined. We need to remember that He is the Potter, and we are the clay. We need to let God form us into the vessel He would have us to be. What an improvement, if we let God work on us inside and out.Let us strive to let God, have His way to mold us completely. So that we can shine for Him daily.

Father, take us into Your hand, and mold us today
For You Father are the Potter, I am the clay

Shape and form us into the vessel that You see
Lord, have Your way, make a new person out of me

Father, shape our life how You would choose
With You at the wheel we have nothing to loose

In Your hands Father, take the clay
Form us Father, in Your perfect way

Anything made by Your loving hands won't break
Apply the changes to our heart and life You need to make

3.  Never AloneID #683419
Posted: 1-11-2010 @ 9:07 pm EST

2 Timothy 4:17
Not withstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthen me; that by me preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

In the mists of storms in our lives, sometimes we begin to wonder where God is. When things begin to fall apart and we can't see the sunshine for all the rain, we wonder if God is any where to be found. Never fear God is always on time, He is right beside of us always. He is the One that carries us, when we can no longer make it on our own. God is with us no matter what we are going through good times or bad. Just like Paul wrote to Timothy, that God was always with him. Paul gave God all the glory for making it possible to accomplish his life's work. Of spreading the gospel to others. I'm sure many times Paul felt like he was all alone. Then he realized that God was with him every step of the way no matter what.

The Presence Of God

God is with us no matter where we go
His love for us, He will always show

God is everywhere, He is with us always
Guiding and directing our path all of our days

Jesus said I am with you always
By our side He will always stay

God will never leave us all alone
His presence to us He will make known

So never fear, we are never alone
Oh my friend God is never gone

He is in our heart and soul
Of everything He has control

If you ever feel alone, go to God in prayer
He will always meet you there

2.  We Need To Look At OurselvesID #682972
Posted: 1-8-2010 @ 1:09 pm EST
Edited: 1-8-2010 @ 1:13 pm EST

Matthew 7:1-5
1.Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Sometimes it is so hard not to judge others. Things are said in anger, and we find fault with the person who has spoke the words of hurt. Then we have to take our focus off of that person, and examine ourselves. To remember that we are all sinners, and that God is the judge, we are not to judge others regardless. If we judge others for random acts that they have committed, we ourselves will be judged by God, for judging others. Let us take a good look at our life, and realize we have been just as guilty of speaking words of hurt, disgust, words that have cut a person to their very heart. Let us work on trying to mend the hurts that we have caused, and to pray for the person that has caused us pain. Forgiveness is the greatest gift that we have ever received, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have been forgiven. So to be the judge of others is wrong, we need to judge ourselves and reflect on the problems that we cause. We need to work on those areas in our life, to reflect on not causing others pain. We need to pray for God to help us each day to examine ourselves, and work on removing our own beam from our eye, and not judge others around us. Basically we need to leave the judging of others out of our life entirely. If we want to judge something, let it be the decisions we make daily. On how we may handle things, to consult with God and how we should respond to events that happen each day.

Dear God in Heaven, help us not to judge others
It is not our job, to judge our sisters and brothers

Father, help us to work on removing the beam in our own eye
For us not to judge other, that urge we need to completely deny

Father, help us to examine our own life
To focus on forgiveness through Jesus Christ

It is not our place to ever judge, we need to encourage
Not to judge and speak words that will discourage

Father, let us reflect on hurts that we have done
To ask forgiveness through Your only Begotten Son

Let us work on areas in our life that are lacking
To tell others of Jesus, in areas that we are slacking

Let us replace judging others, by loving them
To tell them about Jesus, that life is all about Him

Father, help us to watch the words that roll off our tongue
That they will be our love, words of Your only Begotten Son
