Ephesians 3:16
That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.

We want to live our lives for God, but sometimes we become defiant. Inside we have the desire in our heart to do what God requires, and needs us to do. But on the outside we are influenced by the ways of the world. That is when God's strength comes into play, we must cling to Him daily so that He can strengthen us through His Spirit. To strengthen us to resist Satan's temptations, God can empower us through His Spirit with strength to truly live for Him. God can give us the faith, the will, and the enabling power to resist temptations that Satan places in our path. Through God we can have peace of mind, and the strength to face everyday problems in life.

Strength From God

Lord, let me place everything in Your hands
To let You strengthen me in things I need to understand

To let You make my life what it should be
To place love in my heart and set my spirit free

Your strength can help me truly soar
Through Your strength I can do so much more

Through the strength that You provide
I want You always to be my Guide

Father, strengthen me daily so my life can be pleasing to You
Strengthen me to work for You in all that we may do



 

Nehemiah 6:3
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: Why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

Sometimes we wonder what we can truly believe. We hear many people making many promises. Politicians make all kinds of promises they can't possibly keep. Many people are making claims that utterly confuse us. There is One truth on which we can depend, the whole truth is contained in God's holy word, the bible. If we stay rooted in God's word we will not be deceived. Nehemiah wasn't deceived by the enemy, who tried to draw him away from the work that God needed him to do. If we stay at Jesus' feet, and read our bible daily, then we won't be deceived by Satan. We will equip our heart with God's holy word and use it as a weapon to tell us of what the truth is. One promise that we can be sure of, is that one day soon Jesus will return and we will be reunited with Him. Let God guide our steps and show us the direction we are to go. So that He can lead us to the work that we need to be doing.

Don't Be Deceived

Father, by Satan let me not be deceived
When tempted in Your arms let me be received

Father, let me always follow You
Not the ways of the world in all I do

Father, when Satan tries to lead me astray
Always guide my steps in the right way

Father, let us not be deceived by Satan and his lies
Let us read Your word, and the truth will be revealed to our eyes

Father, when the pressures of the world make me begin to doubt
I will come to You in prayer, and let You always work it all out



 

1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are labourers together with God.

In a days time I wonder how many people we pass by that are in need? We go to our car and see our neighbor is distressed, do we stop to ask what is wrong? At the work place a co-worker seems so sad and depressed, do we take a moment to talk with them. There is someone visiting at the church did we take the time to welcome them and ask their name? We see a woman at the grocery store who is five dollars short on having the money to pay for her items, do we offer to help? Sometimes we forget about others and get caught up in our busy lives, still that is no excuse for us to stop caring for others. Let us take the time to help others in need, to lend a helping hand, to listen to others that may be experiencing a rough time. If a friend is depressed let us express our concern for them and listen if they need to talk.If the person in front of us at the grocery store is a little short and we can afford it let us help them out. What ever God may put on our heart let us try our best to do our part. We are labourers for God let us follow the example set by Jesus Christ. To care and love others, as Jesus Christ has loved us. Let us witness to others in case they have not heard the glorious story of Jesus and how He died to save all sinners.


Did You Lend A Helping Hand

Today you saw someone you know
Kindness and love for them did you show?

Yesterday you noticed a friend is depressed
Worry and concern for them did we express?

You see your neighbor across the street
Did we say hello and with a smile give them a greet?

On Sunday a visitor came for the first time to our church
When time for handshakes for this person did we search?

Wednesday night a regular member attends church service
Did we ask how they are doing, or just act all nervous?

We encounter someone who is lost and unsaved
Did we tell them the road to heaven Jesus paved?

Did we take the time and make an effort
To tell that Jesus that He is the Good Shepherd?

For many tomorrow may be too late
To them Jesus' love let us state

In case someone is lost, or we may not see them tomorrow
They may leave this world, and we will be filled with sorrow

Of tomorrow we have no promise, on tomorrow we can't depend
We could be called home by Jesus Christ our best Friend

So let us tell everyone we see how much we love them so
It may be the last time we see them, you just never know

Today let us tell the lost of Jesus' wonderful grace and love
So they may accept Him, and have a home in heaven above




 

Leviticus 19:9-10
9. Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10. Not shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God.

God told the Israelites not to harvest all of their vineyards, and the crops in the harvest. He was showing them to be compassionate to the poor and the to people who may be traveling through their land. Someone may be hungry and not have the money to buy food. By the Israelites leaving the fallen fruit and leaving crops from the harvest many could be fed, God was giving them a lesson about love your neighbor and teaching them to show compassion to others who were less fortune. This is one thing that we need to practice in our Christian walk with God. We need to show compassion and help others when given the opportunity. We need to extend our hand in friendship to a person who is lonely. Just sit and listen to someone who needs us to extend a listening ear. To be a shoulder that someone can cry on, just to be a friend to someone who is hurting. We also need to tell the lost about Jesus. That He came to save all sinners, if we will accept Him and believe that He is God's only Son. Sent to die for our sins. Let us be messengers for God, to tell the world of the good news that Jesus lives today. That He died on the cross for our sins, but Praise God HE AROSE ON THE THIRD DAY. Let us always show compassion towards others, regardless of who they are. Every soul matters to God in heaven. Let us not be picky about who we tell about Jesus. Let us be compassionate and have the desire to tell a lost and dying world that Jesus can save their soul. That He has paid the price for our sins. All we have to do is believe in Him.

Showing Compassion

Father, I have come to you many times in need
Every single time You have answered my plead

Father, many times I have turned to You with my frustration
I have come to You crying, feeling such loss and devastation

Not one time Father have You ever turned me away
Let me show this compassion that You have for others everyday

Let me practice the love and compassion that You have shown me
To extend this compassion to others, so that Your love they can see

Father, let me love my neighbors, as You have loved me
Telling all the world of Jesus Christ, that He can set them free

Father, let compassion and love be seen in everything that I do
So that I can tell the world, about this true love that comes from You



 

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.
Psalm 62:1
I love this verse, because many times we get so impatient, waiting on God to answer our prayers. We think because we need something, that we must have it right away. Many times God has many blessings in store for us, but will deliver them in His time. Many times we invent a way to try and help out our situation, thinking that is how God wants us to do. Things end up going so wrong, we end up in worse shape than we were before. If we would have just waited on God, everything would have been fine. If you are in a bind, remember God is always on time. No matter what your trials and troubles, God will provide for that bill that is stressing you out. He will provide a way for you to get to work. He will provide food on the table. Just wait on Him, you will be truly blessed by just be patient. Just remember, God is the ONE who sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. His love and mercy is the reason we can receive salvation. Because He sent His only Son to die for all sinners. God knows our needs before we ever realize what they are. God will deliver what we need, it will just be in His time. God delivers and He is always right on time. You and I must learn to be patient, God will help us, and show us His power in the process. Let us always remember to give Him the praise and glory for every blessing we receive. To give Him thanks when we go to Him in prayer. Let us share all of our needs with God, He likes to hear them first hand from us. Let us wait on God, no matter what we need. Let us wait on God to show us what direction our life should be going. He knows and in His time will show us.

Father, Your love to me is such and inspiration
Your love gives me complete confirmation

That You will take care of any complication
There is nothing You can't do, this is my realization

Father, You have absolutely no limitations
All I have to do is provide You with the information

To rest in prayer, and wait upon Your verification
To express my needs through prayer and communication

You have provided our very salvation
Your Son is it's very foundation

Father, Thank You, for Your love and protection
That in You Father, through Jesus we see perfection

We see how amazing You truly are ONE of a kind
Your love and mercy could never ever be defined
 

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Many times life can be cruel. Things happen that will make us question our very existence. Things happen that cause us so much pain grief. Sometimes events can break our heart, and cut us to the core. Changes in our life can shake our faith, and make us lack trust in God. We begin to tell ourselves, it is hard to live our life for God. We begin to think that everything is easy for Him way up in heaven. We begin to think that God doesn't understand all that we go through, God does know and He understands our pain. He sent His only Son to live on this earth, Jesus experienced pain and suffering. He was isolated and rejected by many. He was denied by His own people. We must put our trust in God completely. To let Him take care of all things, regardless. He will lead and guide us. He will carry us through, if we just trust and obey Him. To submit to His will, and trust that He will deliver us no matter what happens. Many times we must suffer trials and tribulations, so that God can use us in future adventures.

Trust In The Lord

Lord, in You I place all my trust
To place it in Your hands is a must

No matter what happens today
You will always lead the way

No matter what happens You are there
All my burdens with You I will share

Through all my grief,sorrow, and pain
You wipe my tears that fall like rain

In You I place all my trust, now and forever
One day in heaven, we shall always be together

I know many times my faith is small
But I know that You are Lord of all

I know that many times, I begin to question and doubt
That is when I know with You, I truly can't do without

Father, in You I will place my complete trust
To trust You all my life, is an absolute must

I could never make it one day without You
All my problems in life, You carry me through




 

Matthew 10:32 Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

Today, I read a story about a young boy, who was sent home from school, for dressing up as Jesus for Halloween. His father is Jewish and his mom is Catholic. He decided to dress up as Jesus, because that is who he admires. What a statement this young man has made. He had many asking where the boy was that was dressed as Jesus Christ? The school system decided to send him home, saying that his costume was disrupting class. How many of us would be willing to face ridicule, to try and be different like this young man? I think he is to be admired, he is studying the bible and learning about Jesus. Let us be more willing to step out, and make a statement for Jesus. To tell the world that Jesus loves them, and died for their sins. Let us be different from the world, let us follow the plans that God would have for us. Like the news stated this boy was the chosen one, the one the school chose to signal out. Out of all the costumes, he was the one sent home to change. In the report the ones dressed in devil suits, were not ask to go home and change. I guess the conclusion I came to was that some find the mention of Jesus offensive. Let us never be ashamed of our Precious Savior and His holy name. Jesus Christ is King. He saved my very soul. Thank You Jesus for facing the crowd and overcoming the world for all sinner's.

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ME

God’s purpose for me only He knows
He will lead me to where I need to go

God’s purpose for me in time He will reveal
He will lead me to do what is right, that is what I feel

God has a purpose for me, He also has a purpose for you
If we follow His plan, our purpose will be revealed in all that we do

God’s purpose for me could be the talent of writing poems, about His love and His only Son
Lord whatever your purpose for me everyday let thy will be done

If my purpose is to tell others of Your great mercy and love
I will spread the word, so others my receive a home above

If your purpose be that I encounter a lost soul
To tell them about Jesus will be my main goal

Lord whatever Your purpose is for me
Lord let me do Your work diligently





 

Exodus 19:5
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.


Are you praying for God to lead you? He has plans for you. He has the power to carry His children to a place of service. Only with God's direction can we fulfill His plans for our lives. God will help us through every problem we encounter if we just let Him be our guide. Dear God in Heaven I thank You for providing the money to pay our electic bill. Thank You Father, You are so AWESOME! I truly know that You answer our prayers Father.

God is Near

God in heaven knows our every need
He hears our cries, and our every plead

He knows when we are in distress
Take your problems to God, He will do the rest

God knows when our heart is breaking
He knows all the hard knocks we are taking

He knows that Satan is trying to sift us like sand
That is when God reaches down, and takes us by the hand

He knows when our loved ones have gone home
He carries us in His arms so we are never alone

God knows every problem that comes across our path
He is always there to intercept during Satan's wrath

God knows when we are depressed
Go to Him in prayer, and your problems express

God can move the mountains that stand in our way
If you are down and out, go to God in prayer today

God can give you rest, and take you to new heights
God can relieve your burdens, and send your life on a new flight

Just put your trust in Him, let God be your guide
He will mend your broken spirit, and make you feel new inside




 

Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2 Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.


3 Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.


4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him,and bless his name.


5 For the LORD is good;
his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.


I love this song of praise, giving God the glory for all that He has done. Many times in our life, we forget to stop and thank God, for all that we have been given. I was talking to a friend of mine and she reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. She is living without water in a house right now, but is thankful to have a place to live. Like she said you can go to a friends house and take a shower. You can get water to flush the the commode with in jugs, and you can buy bottled water to drink. God has provided her with a place to live, and she is warm. She sets the perfect example being thankful. We may not have everything but God makes sure we have everything we need. The amazing part is that she just got a letter that by the first of November she will have a new house to move into. Like she said the events that have taken place make her appreciate all that God has done for her even more. After I got off the phone with her, we realized our heat had went out. Tried to call the repairman no answer. I prayed for God to fix it, and sure enough, Our Father in Heaven delivered as He always does. It is suppose to be in the 30's tonight and He knew we needed heat. God is awesome I want to praise Him for EVERYTHING that we have been blessed with. For electric,gas, food, water, clothing, but most of all His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. There are many more things that I am thankful for but I could write for years and still I would leave something out. I am also thankful for the love God bestows upon us. I am thankful for the wonderful family that I have been blessed with. We have so much to be thankful for let us sing God's praise in Thanksgiving every single day.Thank You Father, for fixing our heat, and for fixing our car, and for mending our hearts when they have been broken.

Dear Lord, you have done so much for me
I haven't done much for you as I can see

You have blessed me so greatly, and asked so little in return
No matter what I have needed, large or small, you have always made it your concern

When it seemed that things were going so wrong

Psalms34:15
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.

When we cry out in desperation, God hears our cries. He knows when we are going through rough times. He opens His arms and waits for us to go to them for comfort. God knows when our hearts are broken, when our life is nothing but a mess. He will carry us when we can no longer make it on our own. He will give us comfort, and provide our every need. God hears our every plea, He will never leave us comfort-less. When you feel like you are at your wits end, go to God in prayer and tell Him all about it.He cares what happens to us, He wants to provide for us, we just have to turn to Him. When everything seems wrong God can send you the greatest blessings if we will just trust and believe in His power.

Father, we know there is nothing You can not do
All things are completely possible through You

When we are about to lose everything that we own
You are with us, we are never ever alone

You will give us everything that we need that I know
Because our Father in heaven loves us so

You hear us whenever we are lonely and may cry
You hold us in Your arms when to family we must say goodbye
