Colossians 2:6
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.

Once we accept Jesus into our heart, we have to walk with Him daily. We have to read our bible to help our spiritual growth. We have to let God nourish our walk with Jesus by talking to Him daily in prayer. When we walk with Jesus by our side and in our heart, it will show in our life. Others will be able to see all that God has done in our life, after we accepted Jesus Christ. Just like a garden, if we don't water, and keep the weeds out,the crops will die. When we walk close to Jesus, our spiritual growth becomes strongly rooted in Him. We have to let Jesus feed us spiritually, and read the bible to nourish our soul. If we do nothing after we become saved, how can God use us to bring glory and praise to His Holy name. Let us be willing daily to pray, and read our bibles. To let Jesus be our Guide, and lead the way that we are to go. To commit to God and let Him use us in His plans.

Father, I want to You to plant me where You need me to be
To study the bible daily, and tell others Jesus set me free

I want my life to bring glory and praise to Your Holy name
I want to live for You, so others can see my gain

That I am in much better shape than ever before
I have all that I need and so much more

You provide our every need, Jesus walks with us
Because in Your only Son we placed our trust

Father, let us walk with Jesus everyday
To You Father, daily let us always pray
 

Psalm 16:11
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I love this verse it tells of how David spoke of being in God's presence. That we can be close to Him and enjoy every moment of sharing our life with Him. We need to remember to keep in God's will for our life. To walk the path and direction that God has planned for us. If we want our life filled with joy all we have to do is stay close to God. To dwell daily in His presence. One day we will live with God forever. What Joy that will be, to live with the Father, and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Let us walk beside Him closely, so that He can embrace us often in this life.

Father, I Thank You for walking with us day and night
Father, in Your presence is where I want to be in the Light

Father, I want to be in Your presence every single day
I want to be in Your arms in this life all the way

I want to walk in Your presence all the days of my life
One day I can't wait to see You and Your Son Jesus Christ

I look forward to being with You in heaven forever
That always through eternity we will be together

In Your presence is where I always want to be
Walking with Your Son, who set my soul free

 

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Many things can and will go wrong in this life. We will struggle with trials and troubles. We will experience death of losing loved ones. I love this verse because it gives us the assurance that Jesus will be with us no matter what we may face. No problem is bigger than the power of Jesus. When we experience sorrow,grief, or a broken heart. Jesus can give us peace, so let not our hearts be troubled. If your life feels like it is broken, Jesus can mend it. If you have lost loved ones, Jesus will be your Comforter. He will give us peace, and hold us in His arms. Jesus has overcome the world, there is no problem that He can not handle. If your life seems like it is spiraling out of control, give it to Jesus. He will give you peace, and carry the burdens that weigh us down. No matter what you may be going through, Jesus loves you and knows your heart. He will hold us in His arms, and wipe our tears. He will give us the inner peace that we so seek. He can mend our broken heart. Let us always remember to turn to Him in our darkest hours. Let not your heart be troubled, give all your troubles to Jesus. If we are griped by fear, give it to Jesus, in its place He will put peace.

I know that Jesus will give us peace
He is the One that will bring sweet relief

He will handle all our our fears
He will be there to wipe our tears

When our world seems so dark
Jesus will give us light by His spark

When our hearts are troubled Jesus will be there
He will give us complete peace, when we feel despair

No matter what we may go through
Jesus is always there for me and you






 

Hebrews 11:6

6.But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I love this verse, because it is so true. In this life filled with so much stress and troubles, we have to live by faith. Just the other day a friend of mine ask how I know God is real. She was questioning how I can believe in Jesus when I can not see Him. She also questioned how can a child have cancer? My friend is lost and she has many questions, but right now she is very angry. Last week she lost her husband in an accident. She wanted to know how that I truly knew that the bible is God's holy word. She ask how that I knew that Jesus truly existed. My answers to her were as follows, I know that God is real because I feel His presence in my heart and know that He works miracles in my life. I know Jesus is real because just like I feel God in my heart, I can feel Jesus's love in my heart also. I know Jesus walks beside me daily and dwells in me. Why? Because I have faith, I may not be able to see Him physically, Oh but I can certainly say I know He is there, because I feel His presence. The part of children having cancer, I told her somethings we will not understand, and one day we can ask God why different things happened, that we never understand. I can not answer everything, and yes there are things that I do not understand, but I know God will give me peace, because by faith I can trust Him that things will turn out according to His will and glory. I know with all my heart that the bible is God's truth, His holy word. Because when I read it, and need guidance, through the bible God speaks to me. He shows me what He needs me to see, and then gives me encouragement to follow His plans through the Holy Spirit. I know that Jesus exists because the bible tells me so. I know that Jesus exists because one day He this sinner from my sins. Now Jesus guides my path daily, I am forgiven, only because Jesus died for our sins. Living by faith is the only way that I can truly make it through everyday trials. I fail God daily, but He forgives me when I mess up. I live by faith, because one day, my faith shall became sight. One day we will see God and Jesus in all their glory. I too battle with many questions and things that I do not understand. I read the bible to help me understand things better, it has been the best road map in my life provided by God in Heaven. I am praying for my friend, and asking God to give her the peace that I have come to know by accepting His only Son Jesus Christ. I pray for God to let the Holy Ghost give me the words to speak unto her when she questions me about Jesus. If God is giving the answers we can never go wrong. Pray for us to be a positive influence on our friend, that we will stay in God's will and encourage her, not discourage her.
 

Psalms 27:5-10
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Psalms 27:7-10
7.Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

8.When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

9.Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

10.When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

Today, I am thankful that God stands by me no matter what I may face. Even though others may leave me and turn away, I know God will be with me always. When I face obstacles in my life, God will be there to give me strength to go on. When my heart is broken, He will bring joy back into my life once again. When I suffer from grief, God will give me comfort. When others persecute me, God will hide me in His arms and keep me safe. God has been my Father since the day I was born. My dad was not in my life, but God in Heaven has been the best Father I could ever have. He has been the One who has held me when I have cried. Jesus has been my best Friend through all the many trials that I have faced. He has loved me, and given me direction on which path to take in life. I am truly thankful that God will never leave our side, no matter what may occur. Jesus is with us until the very end and beyond.

Father, there are times in this life
That my world is filled with strife

You carry me when I become weary
You wipe my eyes when they are teary

When friends forsake me along the way
I know that You are with me every day

I am never alone, or ever abandoned by You
The long road of life, You will carry us through

Thank You Father, for never leaving our side
In Your arms Father, we can always hide

You are with us in good and bad times
No greater Father, or Friend could we find
 

(Ps 103.11-17)

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children.

Today, I am thankful that God understands our weakness. That His gives us mercy, and Jesus Christ removes our sins. Once we accept Jesus our sins are forgiven and remembered no more. I thank God that His mercy is everlasting. Just like the above verse we are like a flower, we bloom and then wither and died. So let us strive to flourish and be nourished by God. To tell the world daily that Jesus Christ lives. That Jesus died for all sinners on Calvary. Praise God that He arose on the Third Day. I am thankful for the love that God gives us, He saw a pitiful site when He saw the shape of the world and knew that we would need Jesus. He sent His only Son for us. Now that is true love. Thank You Father.



 

Matthew 5:3-10
5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


Father, today, I am thankful that You show us how to handle difficult situations in this life. That when we talk to someone that is lost the Holy Ghost whispers words unto us to tell them. That we are never at a loss for words if we let You minister unto us. That if we have the love of Jesus in our heart we will have compassion and understanding for all those around us. That through Your love we truly come to realize that it is not about me, It is all about Him Jesus. That when we talk to others that don't know Jesus, Father let us always remember the only difference between us and them is Him. That we are sinners, that we are just forgiven. By the blood of Jesus Christ we have been covered and forgiven. Let us remember that it is nothing that we have done, it is ALL BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS DID FOR US. Let us always remember to tell the lost that we are still nothing but SINNERS, and are only saved because Jesus laid down His life for all sinners. Let us be sure to tell them about Jesus Christ, and by accepting Him, they can be forgiven and receive eternal life. Let us tell everyone that we can, in case they have not heard of Jesus. Let us not be picky on who we approach, every lost soul to You is very important. Lord, Today, I am also thankful for Your comfort. We lost a friend, and it is so hard to deal with the emotions, but I truly know that You will comfort their family. I know that You will hold their babies in Your arms when they cry for their daddy. Dear Father, help us to do Your will. Help carry us through this time and trial. Father, Thank You for true friends in this life, that stand by our side regardless of what we may do. I know we make many mistakes, I am thankful that You are so forgiving. I thank Jesus for carrying us when we are so weak, because with out Him I don't know where I would be.

Father, Today I am really very sad
There was an accident that was really bad

A friend of ours made some decisions that were not good
He had to much to drink,he didn't stay home like he knew he should

That decision proved to come at a great cost
That very day his life was completely lost

He left behind his wife,daughters, and sons
Father, help this family deal with the trials that have begun

Father, help us to deal with our feelings of sadness
Help us to make sense of all of this madness

Father, be with the family help them deal with their loss
Our bad decisions in life, can cause others a very high cost

Father, let us make wise decisions, to seek Your input everyday
On every thing when we have to make decisions along the way
 

James 5:7
5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

I love this verse, talking of patience. Sometimes we are challenged to be patient, which is something that is hard to do at times. Today, I am thankful to God that we have the promise that Jesus Christ, will one day return. That we must be patient, and keep watch and live our life, according to God's holy word. Sometimes it is hard to be patient, it is a learned skill. If we keep close to God, He will help us become more patient and more understanding to others. He will teach us how to handle little matters that require a lot of patience. Today, I am also thankful for having clean clothes. That God provides us with a washing machine to use, and a dryer to dry our clothes. I am thankful and grateful for every blessing that God bestows upon us.

Father, today, I am thankful for the promise that one day Jesus will return
For this wonderful day, our heart truly waits for and does yearn

I am also grateful for the clean clothes that You provide
I thank You Father, for always being our comfort and guide

Thank You Father, for Your little ways of helping us to learn to be patient in life
Even when things are going wrong, You can always carry our heavy load of strife

Father, Thank You, for every blessing that You have bestowed upon us
All the days that we live, in You Father, we will place all of our trust




 

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33

Today, I am thankful that when we seek God, and accept Jesus that it clears our way to see things in a different manner. It helps us realize that material things are not important. That placing God first in our life will help everything else fall into place. It makes us see that everything that we have has been given by God in Heaven. That He blessed us with many blessings and meets our every need. Let us never forget that God provides our every need, and that we need to place Him first in our lives. That everything else God will take care of along the way.
 

Psalm 119:103


How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Today, Father, I am thankful for sweet aroma of the honey suckles, that I was blessed to smell today. They smell like a lovely perfume that only You can create. I am also thankful that when I read Your holy word from the bible that is like honey for soul. Your word provides sweet assurance to me, and gives me comfort at the same time. I am also thankful for the little squirrels that I saw playing in the tree today. It makes me stop and admire all of Your creations. That if we just take a little time to stop and admire them, they can bring us so much joy.

Today, I am thankful for the little things that bring me joy in life
I am most thankful for God's only Son Jesus Christ

I am thankful for the beautiful smelling honey suckles, that release a heavenly scent
It makes me stop and think of God's wonderful creation, and how much His love has meant

He loves us so much He sent His only Son to die
He sends us beauty to glance upon like the blue sky

Today, I am thankful for seeing the squirrels play in the tree
I am also so thankful that God loved a sinner like me

To send His only Son to die in our place
Our Father, is full of mercy and grace
