I have never been one to keep a journal, but I started an online journal on New Year's Day, 2006 and have been keeping it faithfully. This encourages me and has me thinking of doing the same thing here at WDC. I'm not quite sure what "theme" this journal will follow, but I am leaning toward talking about the things I learned through this wonderful site. Time will tell.



Well, time spoke up and I have decided to switch gears with this journal. I have just recently joined up with two WDC groups that focus on getting my novel written and published, so this journal will now focus on the journey I take to accomplish these goals. And with a new focus, I've come up with a "Invalid Entry" .

First up - Writing the novel.

Quit the stupid job...

Work sucks.

I do it to, waste so much of my life in a pointless job that does nothing for me creatively or spiritually.

I will quit my job soon, I've had enough of working for the man, I wanna work for myself.

Try not to give up your reviewing, it does help writing so much.

Hey, it's great that your writing is coming along so nicely :)
I've written a bunch of articles lately, but haven't written a short story or anything else in a while. I'm planning on starting one tonight :)

I write the same way most of the time (without an outline) It's very seldom I actually make an outline to go by ... and if I do, I always vary from it

I'm so sorry. That's horrible it upset you so badly. Did it say who sent it?

I got a card also. I believe it was simply a gesture on their part to thank those who participate in WDC. I wouldn't let it worry you.

Oh, and I learned a long time ago that someone on-line may be completely different from who I imagine them to be from their writing. Don't sweat it.

Or set up hours ... writing is WORK and most folks don't get that. If you can afford to take off work to entertain, then do so. If not tell them you'd love to entertain but your working hours are ... or I can be flexible with my working hours but I need X uninterrupted hours a day. Which hours would be convienient for you?

Good boundaries are good. And a writer NEEDS to write!
