the love I shall at death recall
twas never really love at all

beyond the dawn of twilight fading

Shall we become the fruits of our labor
Or succumb to the rules of the game
Quietly spending our years left in slumber
Denying that love which remains
Seducing ourselves with a prize we can honor
Never dwelling on worlds that we touched
Rebelling against the dreams that still linger
Their cost ever counted too much
Always we pause at the cup of salvation
Seeking worth in the days we recall
Finding redemption in words we remember
Acceptance we knew from the fall
The cost of forever is slow to exact
Every dream that alluded our grasp
Shall we regret love we let slip away
Or find it again on our path

like the finest silken thread
in the mind across time and space
there are no boundaries to thought
and there is no end to thinking
about another - place - time or feeling
forever it has been and forever shall be
presence is all we can change
the present is all we can change
choose now what to think
choose now what to feel
choose now the memories
to keep or cast away
and still they remain ours forever

The child of knowledge
Seeks ever to become the light
Glowing brighter
Embracing the now
Truth always evolving
Memories soften to the touch
Energy is reborn
Some candles ever burn
Resting on our journey
Evolving treasures of the heart
Silken threads form the places
Of who we've always been

child of poetry
in order to know the truth
wants to touch the light
is truth but knowing
who we are and where we are
places in this world
in moments we see
that time is not the answer
in us lives our place
where we always were
and where we ever shall be
one eternal love

Long lonely fingers
At the end of empty arms
Await redemption
The search begins new
An ear to a lonely voice
Harp to her music
Still waters surround
Flame of eternal truth
Love's resurrection
Destiny calling
She awakes from her dreaming
Reality speaks
The smallest of steps
Start the path of her journey
The past left behind
Immortal her love
Painting colors on the night
A canvas of feeling
Words crowd the forest
Leaves fade to yesterday's sky
Blooms dance on the wind

Some flames burn brighter
Eclipsing the sun with light
Truth in becoming
The universe waits
For light that reclaims the dark
Souls reach in darkness
Love the one power
Born of resurrection and life
Freedom returning

shall I ever know my heart
before days of wine and roses
left to doubt my spirit's core
filled with dark supposes
shall I walk the plains of truth
succomb to an evil master
or see the truth before me spread
a question for the asker
when breezes blow to touch my skin
will I shiver at the memory
of days when winds spoke my name
and left me rich and worthy
the fate of daylight into night
of willing souls left dreaming
becomes the witness to the throne
ensnaring hope redeeming
never shall the light betray
the heart that seeks the journey
knowing life will find the world
and grow the path before me

would angels dance upon the truth
and linger for the solstice
forget the worst of days behind
and treasure more the surplice
belief in ancient wisdom born
in quiet dreams of heaven
where rivers flow to take us home
before our trust is given
beyond the veil of darkest night
spirits rise to claim us
forgiving life our souls regret
wanting in the chalice
earth becomes a fertile ground
for hopes eternal burning
life decides again the price
we pay in our returning
warmth that angels dare to give
sanctifies our barter
touched by hearts we live again
reaching ever farther

In life we become
The star that burns forever
Gives eternal light
Broken we're humbled
To fight and nurture our wounds
Tears in the darkness
Love we can't deny
Heals the hurt it decided
Washes clean our truth
Awaited rebirth
Remembers questions once asked
Answers we have known

Beyond the splendor of the night
Lies an eternal day
Where lover's souls are lain to rest
And tears are washed away
Where melody distills the morn
And light the clothes we wear
Time falls away before the crown
When innocence we bear
The touch of twilight calls us
From dreams we cannot wake
We write upon the altar
For love we shant forsake
The universe remembers
The twinkling of the dawn
When hope became the journey
And majesty was born

The raven sweeps low
O'er thorny fields of cotton
Solitary flight
Love's red horizon
Forgotten rests behind her
Darkness lies before
Wings filled with longing
Reminders of the journey
Feathers dust the clouds
There in the shadows
She calls upon her fathers
Strength to fly again
Born upon the wind
Memories lift her higher
Touch the face of God

Will the prairie sun
Ever guide me to the place
Where love waits rebirth
Keetoowah spirits
Make their home within my soul
Ancient truths chanting
Sign of the raven
Marks my days upon this earth
Awaiting my flight
