Notes from Underground is my personal blog. I will use it to explore ideas that I may later expand for an essay or a story.

The title comes from the novel by FYODOR DOSTOYEVSKY, who wrote about a man's isolation and alienation from society. I am not as bitter as Dostoyevsky's "Underground Man," but I have felt isolated and alienated from society due to my own gender identity and experiences.

I liked your post and agree with you that people are insane. Unfortunately, crazy people also move, so no matter where you go...there they are.
It's difficult to resist the urge to put your two cents in, especially when the people are so wrong they have a sign "I'm Wrong" hanging around their necks.
Last year some troll insulted a writer for the local paper and I couldn't stand it, I defended this writer. I don't remember exactly what I wrote, but the gist was "try writing if you think it's so easy," or something like that. The columnist sent me a personal email thanking me for defending her. I guess the point of this paragraph is: don't be afraid to voice your opinions. (Just make sure your opinions are fully formulated, not just rants.)

I have gotten the same reaction...sometimes in here...when I put forth a conservative point of view. I think that ignorance knows no party boundries and is just as rampant sometimes on the Right and the Left.

I did enjoy the read and I hope to become a regular reader in the future.

I think you should blog more and update about the church. Has the denomination found another minister?

The only change I have noticed is that I am much more outspoken than I used to be. I don't know if that is from the testosterone or from the Wellbutrin. Otherwise, I am more or less the same, though my energy level is up (which is the main reason I take the testosterone).

Complex to say the least. I can't take Welbutrin because of head injuries. Don't ask about moods unless you want to come over and talk for hours and hours and ... You posted this entry in January. Any positive changes with the meds?

Ick. John Kerry. I don't care much for him, either. Even though I'm not a Democrat, I was rooting for Howard Dean in the Democratic primary. My, how different things would be if he'd made it...or if only Gore had been elected back in 2000...

Yes, I was glad about Prop 107 too. Why the heck does the Center for Arizona Policy think they can dictate things like insurance benefits? It's crazy. Of course, they're crazy, so...

Good for you! More folks should have the drive and concern you have to vote. I commend you. Although, we are at opposite poles, this is what makes the system work. I will not be voting as you do, but I also will vote. Good job!

Even a church has the right to free speech and if they aren't selling any product and are involved in the community than it is a non-profit organization. Preaching peace is a philosophical viewpoint and not a political one. The only reason there is a problem with it is that they want everyone to be blindsided by the proganda they try to use on the public. The funny thing I am an athiest and I can see the bullcrap of the situation.
