Kayla lay there and didn't speak.

Around her, every person connected to her life swapped theories and stories, picking apart any secrets she might have hoped to keep quiet and laying out her past like the exhibits in a gallery.

No one knew everything, but everyone knew something, or thought they did. Only one person could piece together these fragments of the story, and she wasn't talking to anyone.
