Today, I start attempting to keep one of my goals this year. To write daily. A little about me. I'm a 35 year old mother of 2, married for almost 15 years. I live in urban Indiana and currently stay at home and am a full time student. What makes me different from anyone else? Not much. lol...I have a strange sense of humor. I love to read. I love to sing. I like to play online. I lost both of my parents 6 years ago. Each year things get easier, except in a way they also get harder. Only somone who has been there will have any clue what I mean.

Why am I here? I feel compelled to write. A few years ago my husband and I took a bible study course at church called Disciple 1. Awesome Awesome study. 34 weeks, 80% of the bible. At the begining we had to discuss why we were there...my pat answer was to learn more abou the bible. Funny thing was, in the end, I'd learned a whole lot more. I learned I could have a personal relationship with God. I learned alot of things. I learned about spiritual gifts....and in the end of that study, we had to get up and give a testimony about our time in disciple and what we had learned....my first entry will be that testimony I shared with our congregation that day...the only changes I've made are to remove names.


My plan for this journal/blog is to just talk about me, my daily life, my kids, and whatever God puts on my heart. Pray for me that I may be obedient in this.

Such a pleasant description of your weekend. You are an observer basically, right? Or your powers of it are second nature to you.

These families were so good with my son--despite the fact that he was not paying attention in the field, fell apart easily and in general was just so much younger than anyone else that it was hard to fit him in.

For the first time since we moved (this is our second school year here) we felt like we belonged--we felt like we were accepted by other parents--and win or lose--this will be the best ball season we've had in a good long while.

Though we are all different economically and in religious or parenting beliefs or whatever...we all seemed to mesh and that was such a wonderful feeling. I felt so much hope.

I really wish I could help you, Vicky, except offer prayers you find solid answers soon.

He could be...and that's one of the things they will look at--or rule out when we go. There's just too many pieces to the puzzle that make me not so sure that he is...or that he's even got ADHD...he sleeps, unlike many children with ADHD.....he's very affectionate and social--unlike many childrent with autism--he has social issues but it's more along the lines of not picking up on cues and falling apart when things don't go his way....or he gets his feelings hurt......Some days, it seems like nothing is wrong. Others I know there is....and it's not a discipline issue--we try to discipline, nothing seems to work--at least for any length of time. We've tried it all. he's seen a psychiatrist and a therapist--though neither one have been much help. He's been on 5 different adhd meds..a.nd they've all had side affects that weren't worth it--or they did nothing at all. I think he has a sensory processing disorder--but I'm not sure whether that's alone or combined with one of the 2 previously mentioned issues.

I just don't know.

And because I don't know it makes it hard to figure out how best to help him and handle him.

He's still the biggest reason I smile alot though....

Hey Vicki, I've always admired how you were able to do all you do and still come in and blog. You are a really strong woman and I will definitely come visit your other blog. Thanks for all you give too.
