Hi again!

So yeah, I keep getting an email to update my blog so here I am!

Guess what? . . . I got a new car thats what!! I'm SO excited about it! Also we are going on vacation to the beach in TWO WEEKS!!! I can't even wait! (Except I need a tan before then so I guess I need to wait.) Since there's a lot going on with Easter and this vacation and school ending I think I may take a break from WDC. I'm barely getting anything done as it is and I think a month with no pressure from reviewing and such might help kick down this writers block I've been feeling for awhile now.

On another note, I showed my dad some of my songs and we are gonna put them to music (well guitar) and I'm really excited.

Anyways, I'll write again next blog reminder I suppose.

My step-grandfather died today at 12:00am-- heart failure. I was never really close to him (none of my siblings were) but for the second time my Mawmaw lost a husband and she's alone again. At least she will be. Right now we're taking shifts to stay with her. Tonight's mine. The funeral is on Saturday and takes place two hours from here, the wake at 9am and the service at 12pm. We'll probably be getting up at 5am and it'll be an all day affair.

There's been so much death recently. Celebrities and families alike. My baby second-cousin passed away a few weeks ago as well and I wrote a song for him and my cousin, Eli (his father) called "Orion's Song (Little Angel)" . He was only a few weeks old.

Saddness is just so sad.

 

Just got back from work, tired but I'm getting so annoyed with this stupid 'Update Your Blog' email that I figured I'd put something down.

Lets see . . . I had a great Christmas Lots of family, fun, tears and laughter. Looking forwards to fininshing my novel this year (FINALLY!!) It'll probably be another month and then I think I'll have it done. (yay me! )

I'm getting a new car soon! I'm SO excited!!

We got a new laptop for Christmas and for ONE awsome week had the internet working on both the laptops in our house but then the stupid router stopped working and we can't figure out what's wrong with it. Once it's back up and running I'll be able to put in more reviews since my siblings won't be fighting for the internet as much with two computers. But until then I'll be cramming a few reviews in here and there, just don't expect me to be back in this blog for a little while.

Ok, ok! I'll update my blog! lol

Ummm. . . . I'm SO excited about Christmas! We put up the tree two days ago and went shopping yesterday-- for eight hours in the freezing rain, sleet and snow! (yes, SNOW in Louisiana!).-- and again today (well, my mom did. I had to work)

We finished one of the music videos we are making for my mom's christmas present. It's so cool!! I CAN'T WAIT to give it to her! She'll love it!

I have a bunch of Christmas parties to go to this year so I'm looking forwards to them. Monday marks the first one, which is a work party. Should be fun.

So yeah, December should be an exciting month, I'm just not writing as much as I want to. There's too much to do! I wrote 10,000 words last month and most of that was in the first week. I'm pretty sure my plan to have my Novel finished by 2010 is pretty much hopeless, but oh well. I'm definitely not gonna pressure myself when I could be enjoying Christmas.

Stupid 'Update Your Blog' email are driving me crazy! So to make it shut up I'll post real quick.

I haven't been on WDC much the past two weeks because of preparation for Halloween and because I'm filming a home music video with my brothers and sisters to give to my mom for Christmas and it's taking a little while. Also I'm having guy trouble which is totally distracting me from writing and I'm so annoyed.

I'm gonna try and commit to writing 50,000 more words of my novel through the month of November for NaNoWriMo. Not sure that I'll manage it but at least it's something right?

Ok, there, blog updated! I guess that wasn't so hard. lol

Sooooo . . . I got home yesterday! Yeah, its so nice to sleep through the night. I think I was out for about 12 hours lol. My mom won't really let me get up that much though I'm supposed to 'resume normal activity'. She said after the weekend I could. Not that I can do much anyway, I'm not allowed to pick up anything heavier than a half-gallon of milk. Which is basically nothing at all! I wonder when I'll feel normal again?

So I guess things are looking pretty good. The doctor said I'll probably be able to go home tomorrow, which is good cuz it feels like I've been in this place for weeks. It's been a lot different than I expected. Not as much pain, a whole lot more annoyances, not as much sleeping as I would have liked. You would think with all the drugs I'm on and pain I'm in that's all I would do, and it was the majority of it, bet the first night I barely slept at all. Any sound at all would wake me before I could get deep enough alseep. Nurses talking, machines beeping, even the turn of a page would wake me up. It's exhausting to be woken up every second.
Last night was not as bad. The nurses only woke me every four hours instead of every SINGLE hour, and i managed to sleep well inbetween. I think my cousin is coming to visit me later, and I just got flowers and balloons from my mom's boss Strange, but nice.
What's great is that a lot of the feeling I'm having right now will help my writing be more real. Now that I know what it's like to barely be able to walk or even sit up I'll be better able to put that into my story. I need to take notes!
 

I'm alive! (barely) I'm still in the hospital and I've been sleeping for the past two days in the ICU. Now I'm on 'the floor' which is a smal room with a lot less machinary and the nurse doesn't check your vitals every hour. I don't have anymore tubes in me, thank God, and I'm feeling alright. They just got me a laptop to do the internet on so I'm able to update you guys. I'll probably update again later.

On My Head:Ah! So I went to the hospital last week to do blood work and 2D echoes and answer the same questions over and OVER again! After that me and my mom drove to Jackson Square so I could see the St. Louis Cathedral and actually BE in the place that my characters are in my novel. It was totally cool, though we couldn't actually go into the church because the were coranating the new archbishop. That sucked.
Anyways, my surgery is next monday. I'm not really nervous (yet) more eager to get it over with. My last day of work is Friday and Monday morning I have to get up at 3:00 am to takr a shower and we'll be leaving Baton Rouge at 4:00 am. My surgery begins at 7:00 am and could take up to 8 hours, which makes me glad I'll be out like a light bulb. Afterwords I'll be in the ICU for about three days with a breathing tube stuck done my throat. (sounds exciting don't it?) I hope the scar ain't that bad. Pray for me!

On My Novel: Ok, doing pretty good. I'm trying to just write and not stop to revise along the way, which is difficult for me. If I could get the first draft done in the two month time that I'm off of work that would be totally awsome! My goal (after the first week I'm out of surgery) is 1,000 words a day. Also I managaed to right a small outline for the coming chapters. Though I drew a blank at chapter 30. But all and all I'm doing good.

 

On My Head: Hmmm . . . Let me see, what to write? Oh! So on my bday I got kicked out of a bar because I tried to get my 16 year-old sister in with my ID (everyone thinks we're twins) it was a totally crazy night. lol I also found out that I'm having Open Heart Surgery on the 31st. The bright side is that I'll get off work for about two months, but I was also told that I'd feel like I got hit by a MAC truck. Yay! (that was sarcastic). This week I had to go to the eye doctor TWICE because I needed new contacts and my glasses (which I got only a few months ago) barely helped me see at all. I'm SO sick of going to doctors (of any kind) I can't wait to have this whole surgery thing behind me! Everyone keeps saying that I'll feel a hundred times better, I really hope so, that way this will all be worth something.

On My Novel:So I'm really gaining ground here. I finished the 20th chapter, am half way through the 21st and thought of a great idea for a revision of the first chapter. I also basically know what the next 5 or so chapter are going to contain. Today I went to the library and go at least ten research books and I'm ready to go. The only problem is I only have one more day till the weekend and then I'll have to work. I never get anything doen when I work. Oh well, at least I got a bunch of reviews done today so I don't have to worry about that tomorrow.
