This is going to be a book that covers my life from birth until high school graduation. At this half-century stage in my life plus two years, I feel a need to start this book before I forget all that has happened to me in my youth. *Rolleyes* It was a crazy time to be born in 1954. I do not think most people really knew what to do during that time. We were threaten with the cold war. In school, we would pretend as if we were going to have a nuclear attack and hit the floor covering our head. Can you imagine what we felt like during that time? The fear put in us at such an early age. There were people that had places underground and forever were buying up canned goods just in case the worse would happen. Thank God, it did not but we were still scared by it just the same. I guess this will be likening to Fred Savage's "The Wonder Years." I related to nearly every one of those episodes those I did not I wanted to be involved in or so the story goes.

I had an interesting childhood, as you will see. While most children had the typical fun, you will see that I had to play the part of a serious actor. If I made a wrong move, I would be in trouble and it could cost me a good education. This was a difficult thing to do day by day. There were times when I really found myself in a situation where I had to lie so quickly that it came out rather funny. People laughed but I saw no humor in the fact that I had to come up with words that I could not exactly find at the right time. *Blush* You must remember I am a child in this novel, not an adult! I lived in the ghetto or should I say I survived the ghetto. Some would call the place where I lived as a slum but to me it was home. THere were some of my friend's homes where I spent the night that would have big holes in the walls where the big gophers would peak in and look at you as you were using the bathroom. Seems like most of the significant stuff happened to me in bathrooms! *Bigsmile* That is what life is all about a bunch of shit!
