My grandma turned 90 a few weeks ago and I am just impressed. She wakes up around 6am, goes exercise in the park with a bunch of Japanese ladies. Goes home and prepares herself for the day. She teaches English and basic computer literacy including internet. And she is always going somewhere to visit someone or to some course on something or another. Very active. she prays everyday to go in her sleep.

Oooo Kittie, I never thought about it being a spider bite. I do believe though it is from stress and its your typical cold sores that I hadn't spotted right away. I found one under my tongue to night and I've been burning the candle at both ends in both my private and public life so I shouldn't be surprised, yet I am. *lol* The swelling seems to be going down and I had a milkshake for dinner and the ice cream was heavenly on my tongue. I can't let anything touch against my lips and even the straw could be painful.

I do remember that part in Hitch! Will Smith is one of my favorite charactors and I loved that part, it was so funny! It's how I feel and my lips are pretty puffy like that but they seem to be responding to the over the counter meds, just slower than I'd like. *Sigh* If things aren't better by tomorrow I'll bite the bullet and go see the doctor. After working with doctors for so long I prefer not to see them unless I literally have to. They don't call it "practicing" medicine for nothing.

I hope he continues to be comforable and is able to lead his life with dignity. It's how my great grandfather wanted it to be, too. He (and we) were blessed that it was so.

As you were describing your lip thing, I just kept thinking of that scene in the movie Hitch where he has an allergic reaction and his whole face swells up. Scary and painful, but funny at the same time. Sorry! Perhaps you should see a doctor. I can't help but wondering, do you have spiders in your home? Tis the season...perhaps you were bitten?
