I am many things--a writer, a poet, an actor, an artist, a musician, and a philosopher. Many people say that a person can't be both a romantacist and a logical thinker, but I am. The two concepts swim in the double-helix that builds my body. I fall to neither side, but I'm not neutral either. This is the basis of me. I describe myself better in the warious parts of my portfolio. After all, within a body, each cell performs it's job. They can live on their own, but they need to fit together and cooperate in order to make the body. This is how my portfolio is built.

My blog has evolved quite a bit over the past years. At one point, It was just a place for me to rant and complain. Now it is a place for all my daily thoughts. Some of them may not make sense, so feel free to ask about any of them.

FYI, the French typically use the masculine form of the word le chat even if the cat is female. This is because la chatte has taken on a different meaning . So I would suggest: "Mon chat aime dormir sur les portes."

First days are always the worst...I can remember dreading the first day and sometimes many days in between. Once your out of school or meet someone special to pass the time with life gets a whole lot better! I love your blog by the way!

Remember that high school only lasts for a blip of time in the reality of life. One moment it sucks but the good news is it can turn its self around and things can get good rather fast.

You have a lot on your plate right now but your also very mature for your age. Are you the oldest or only child? I was the oldest and I shouldered a lot of feeling responsible for all that went on around me. Just know that what is happening now has nothing to do with you and choices the adults around you wish they could change. Life will get better eventually and everything will work its self out. Times are stressful right now in lots of households. Your mom may have never had to face her own mortality before and it's a sobering reality. Hang in there and keep on doing what your doing, from I can tell by your writing your doing a great job.

Well, the way I see it, reviews should just be honest. Critical or not critical. Of course I hate getting reviews that are low because they entirely missed the point of my poem, but that's a fair review too.

Sometimes when I review I feel like I sound mean, because I will tell the person if I think they used a cliche, or if the whole thing is cliche, or if the poem didn't speak to me at all, and if I just plain didn't like it.

I think as writers we all have to be able to handle any critism that comes our way. Plus, friends are biased, as well as non-writers. When people see my writing who don't write, they think it's amazing even if it's really not. Hopefully your friend is honest with you. I'd actually be glad to hear a close friend tell me they didn't like my writing, cause I appreciate honesty.

I'm sixteen, just two years older than you, but honestly, I wouldn't mind if you told me something of mine needed a lot of work. If I disagreed with you, I would say so, but no matter what I would be thankful for the review and opinion. Of course, (with you and anyone) all I ask for in a review is a respectful opinion, whether they loved or hated my work or if it didn't affect them at all. I give in-depth reviews to adults all the time. It's an awkward concept, but I'm a writer too and I have strong opinions, therefor I won't limit myself to just giving my opinions to people younger than me.

I stumbled across your blog on the recent blogs page, and I've got to say from experience that the more you review, and I mean like nitpicking, going over with a fine-tooth comb reviews, the more you notice the things that are wrong with your own writing and you begin to correct them automatically without even having to really think about it. I was an average writer when I joined in December, but after doing many, many reviews and going over every aspect of it, I've improved my writing drastically, and I haven't stopped improving. The more you write on your own and read and edit whatever genre you are interested in, the better you get continuously. Many people return in-depth reviews because they are thankful that you took a good look at their work, and other's give you gift points. It's a win-win. Of course, if you are cramped on time, then this doesn't work as well, but you get the point. If you review as in-depth as you can whenever you have the time, your writing will get a lot better. This is just my experience, and if you don't agree with it, that's okay. Good luck, and I hope you do end up staying, because this is a really cool sight when you get into all the groups and stuff. =]
