Charlie

She was only 16 when she gave birth to her son, who changed her life by just grasping her finger. She had been heading towards disaster, hanging with the wrong crowd and getting pregnant by a guy she had been too naive to realize he had been playing her.

Now, ten years later, she is striving for a second chance. Moving from waitress to secretary, trailer to a home. Trying to give her son a chance at life she hadn't been given by her own parents.

Working hard and raising her son, she has forgotten what a loving relationship is. Since the birth of her son, she hadn't gone on any dates and rejected any advances she received. Many called her cold, but relationships, she had felt, got in her way of raising her son and trying to get out of the poverty she had found herself in. She wanted better and felt she deserved better.

But she hadn't prepared herself for her boss, Caleb O'Donnel. A man who is as gentle as he is strong and as patient as he is quick tempered. He wants to show her that everyone is deserving of love.
