At a glance, this would appear to be a novel I've been putting a great deal of time and effort into. That couldn't be further from the truth. This is half experiment, half a byproduct of intense boredom. One day, I decided to just start writing the first thing that came to mind. So far, this is the result. It is in the genre of typical, knights-and-dragons fantasy, because I find that to be the easiest thing to write. Writing such things actually requires no creativity or intelligence whatsoever, since everything is already in place due to countless pre-existing books, movies, and video games. Therefore, I was able to forego the brainstorming and research phase entirely. This is not a novel. This is what happens when I have a pen and too much spare time. |
