I tend to get a cluttered mind. I use this blog to help me sort through some of my thoughts. I never know what I'm going to come in and talk about, so be prepared for a very strange ride through my mind.

That particular article is a hot topic all over right now. Even for those who don't do NaNo were upset by it. I'm sure you saw that in the comments on it. However, I'm sure she's laughing because it has gotten a huge readership. I personally avoided it and read the comments. I'd read an article against it, so I had a good idea what it was about. The comments were great.

And, even though I know it's going against my lovely WHITE team, I hope NaNo is going well for you, too. Though, I believe you're cranking it. If only my book could be written as easily as this blog entry. lol However, remember, White is a reflection of all colors, so we are always the best.

Thank you. I'm sure there are many who won't like my ideas anymore than I liked those others, but that's okay. I had fun writing it.

*Applause! Applause!* I read a tweet from an editor/agent (I can't recall) who lamented November because of NaNo.
I'm assuming that these perfect industry types just don't "get it." They view writing as purely a job and don't practice their craft for the pure joy of it. They have no idea of the wonderful, artsy abandon that those of us who take this crazy ride enjoy.

I got the solution:

We switch places! Yeah, you come here to Montana and sip coffee and gorge yourself with cupcakes while I sit with kitty at the cherry desktop...

See... all solved.

I think that's ok. In fact, I should probably do that myself. I have way too may hobbies and get into too much at a time. Usually, one flourishes and the others kind of straggle along or wither altogether. I think it's good that you've accepted that you want to focus on one thing at a time. At least you are making progress in something that matters to you.

And don't worry. Writing will always be there to pick up when you're ready!

Some diddly squat happened to me in November's NaNo... sometimes it works, sometimes it does not... pickit up halfway throught the month if you want... no pressure

In my opinion, it is one of my best pieces. I agonized over it and made sure every word was right. It even won a contest here. It's a holiday themed story, but as they won't post final results until September, I figure it might work. As they're accepting submissions until May, I have time to see if there's another piece I like better. In other words, write a new one. We'll see. I'm supposed to be working on my book. LOL

However! First things first. I need to move the sewing machine out of the entry way so that the new desk can be pushed into the entry way by the nice UPS man when he gets here. The machine is a "working decorative" piece. It needs a new home though as we're turning that into a small library area. Don't ask. I don't know why I decided to do that. LOL

At $10 per entry, only enter your very very best. Don't be disappointed with the results either. Still... good to submit. I keep telling myself that need to submit too.
