Hayley Cherel is totally in love with her boyfriend, Leo. However, she is totally not in love with his habit of cheating on her. It looks like they could live happily ever after when Leo takes her on a romantic holiday to Venice, where he intends to propose! But a chance encounter with the siblings Laura and Alex brings the couple to their knees – and while Hayley watches her boyfriend fall in love with curly haired Laura, she has no idea that Alex has lost his own heart to her. With a terrible end of her relationship, and a blissful ‘happy ever after’ ending for Laura and Leo, Hayley finds herself back in the UK, wounded and pining for her lost love. And as the years pass and solace, platonically, in the arms of Alex, who becomes a life long friend, will she ever see that he has been Mr. Right all along?
