Istiqlál (Independence), 3 Qudrat (Power), 166 BE – Friday, November 6, 2009 about 3:45 PM Pacific Time

I am going to connect my DSL modem and it appears more complicated then I thought. I still have to figure out how the connect the filter to the security system. I may be off line all weekend, so I'm getting everything accomplished that needs doing by Monday.

I finished my edition of the Fantasy newsletter and submitted it a few minutes ago. Next I have to upload the information in the product scanner to the HomeScan website. I haven't missed a week uploading so far and I'm not going to miss this week.

Being off line all weekend is going to put a dent in my review goals, but on the flip side I will be able to work on my NaNoWriMo novel without worrying about reviewing.

Istijlál (Majesty), 2 Qudrat (Power), 166 BE – Thursday, November 5, 2009 about 8:46 AM Pacific Time

In the past two days, I have visited two different doctors' office and managed to survive their examination rooms. I have managed to avoid freezing to death twice. On Tuesday, I went to my doctor and waited in her examination room for about an hour. Fortunately, I had a ski jacket with me, so I had something to keep me warm.

On Wednesday, I took Mom to an urgent care facility. The examination room in the urgent care was as cold or colder then my doctor's examination room. Fortunately, the urgent care provided their clients with blankets to keep them warm. We arrived at the urgent care around 12:30 PM and left about 5:00 PM. My mother got a bit impatient, but there wasn't much I could do because the doctor had to read the x-ray of her ankle.

Fidál (Grace), 19 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Tuesday, November 3, 2009 about 6:07 AM Pacific Time

I'm thinking about Thanksgiving because of a poem I wrote for "SENIOR CENTER FORUM. The name of the poems is "Thanks for Thanksgiving. I enjoyed writing the poem because it brought back memories of Grandma Newland's Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma always cooked most of the dinner herself.

Grandma liked to cook the turkey. Mom would fix the dressing while Grandma prepared the turkey for the oven. After the turkey was washed, rubbed with butter, salt, pepper, and other spices, Mom and Grandma would stuff the dressing into the turkey.

I'm picking up our Thanksgiving box on November 21 from Angel Food Ministries. The box contains enough for a family of four for Thanksgiving, so it should last Mom and I for a while. Among other things, the box contains a ham and a roasting hen. I'm going to put the hen in the freezer and we will have the ham for Thanksgiving dinner.

Last year, we went out for Thanksgiving because my brother wired us money for Thanksgiving dinner. We're not going out his year, unless invited to dinner or one of my siblings sends us money to go out. I prefer to eat Thanksgiving dinner with family or friends in some bodies home.

This morning I am
thinking about Thanksgiving
the bounty of love.

Kamál (Perfection), 18 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Monday, November 2, 2009 about 5:35 AM Pacific Time

I'm not actually looking for toilet paper because I know where to find it. I'm looking for a string of beads and I don't remember where I saw them last. I never find the item I'm looking for when I'm looking for something. Therefore, I just pick another item to look for, which I never find.

If I look for toilet paper, then I figure I have a good chance of finding the sting of beads. I know that sounds odd, but 99% of the time it works. Of course, there is always the chance that I will the item I've decided to look for. That's why I've decided to look for toilet paper. If I lose the toilet paper it doesn't matter because I can always go to the store and buy more. However, I can't buy another set of those beads because they were a gift.

I remember having the beads in the breakfast room, but I can't find them in there. That means I laid them down somewhere else. I'm sure there not in the obvious places because I've looked in all those places and can't find the beads. I know I'll eventually find them, however, I want them now and not next week or next month.

Jamál (Beauty), 17 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Sunday, November 1, 2009 about 1:38 PM Pacific Time

NaNoWriMo day one got off to a good start, I got up about 4:15 AM (I thought). I give my mother her morning meds and then I turned on the computer. Instead of getting up at 4:15 actually got up at 3:15 AM. I didn't set the clock back last night. Fortunately, the computer set itself back or I wouldn't know what time it is now.

After I give Mom meds, I tuned on the computer, took my meds and then said some prayers. I finally set the clock back and then fixed breakfast. I put my teeth in my mouth, fixed breakfast, took a bath, and carried out some trash. I started my NaNoWriMo novel called the Fear by Night. I wrote a little over 800 words and sit staring at the screen. I got up, had Mom fix lunch and then together we cleaned the cat litter.

I'm not going anywhere on Monday because techs are coming in to connect the T.V. On Tuesday I have a doctor's appointment to find out why my sometimes hurts so bad I can't set at the computer. I'm not sure whether it's an ulcer or gas or what, but I'm going to find out. I'm going to have to go back to the dentist sometime this week to have my lower dentures adjusted. The dentures could be part of the problem with my stomach because I'm not chewing my food properly.

Mom has a doctor's appointment on Friday. On Thursday we're going to pick up a couple of sacks of food and I'm going to have to pick up my new glasses sometime this week. My life is full and I still have to work on my NaNoWriMo novel. I have a full week ahead of me and I still have to lug the trashcans to the curb on Wednesday morning.

Jalál (Glory), 16 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Saturday, October 31, 2009 about 5:29 PM Pacific Time

Time stumbles over
clocks ticking away the hours
hiccups jumps backwards.

At 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 1, we set our clocks back one hour. Normally, I readjust the clock either before I go to bed or after I get up in the morning. My computer usually readjusts its clock after I get online. At least, I think it does. Spring was so long ago that I don't remember when the computer reset its clock.

I don't worry about resetting the clock any more. No one in the house has to be any where special this Sunday, so it doesn't matter how precise I am about resetting the clocks; nNot that I have that many clocks to reset, we have four clocks in this house, two of them working. The clock on the computer takes care of itself. One clock is plugged in and I have to reset it; of the other two one I haven't taken out of the box yet and the other I haven't decided which room I want to move it into.

Istiqlál (Independence), 15 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Friday, October 30, 2009 about 7:17 PM Pacific Time

I'm still not sure whether it's the right thing to do, but I'm bundling the Internet, phone, and TV service. It's through the telephone company, so if I take what we already pay for phone service and the separate Internet provider we only have to come up with about $25.00 to cover the monthly fee. There, of course, other charges such ad delivery fee for the modem, since I'm going to DSL.

The budget will be tight, but that isn't anything new. The budget has been tight for two or three years now. We've survived. We're paying off bills, eating, and feeding the cats. I'm going to have to increase my income. I'm going to have to stop putting of facing the spare room and get it cleaned up so that I can either rent it out or use it as an office.

I just don't have the patience any more for the slow downloads. DSL is faster and the speed I'm getting from the phone company is faster and less expensive then the cheapest DSL speed I could get from my present Internet provider. The only problem is being locked into a 24 month contract with the phone company. On the bright side, long distance only cost me $0.10 a minute, which is less then before. Not that I make a lot of long distance phone calls.

Coffee grounds in the bottom of a coffee cup, indicate that you drank a good cup of perked coffee. The test and difficulties you encounter in life indicates that God loves you and is attempting to strength your spiritual attributes.

I have no idea where I'm going with this concept yet. I'm going to have to think about it a while before I actually incorporate it into a poem or story.

Fidál (Grace), 12 ‘Ilm (Knowledge), 166 BE – Tuesday, October 27, 2009 about 8:38 AM Pacific Time

I accepted a Pay Per Click opportunity last night. I posted the ad on Poet 999's Thoughts about Writing and Other Stuff. There is the possibility of earning at least $0.23. I was happy when I found a qualified opportunity and happy to write the ad. It concerned a 3-day sale for hotel rooms.

After I wrote the ad and posted it, I logged into writing.com and did three reviews. Last night was a good night, despite the fact that my ulcer, or whatever the issues is with my stomach, was acting up. After I turned off the computer, I went to bed and said the Long Healing Prayer. I'm feeling better this morning and I'm looking forward to the appointment with my doctor on November 3.
