I hope they are inexpensive too... We pay more here for medications than some folks in Europe pay for surgery and hospital stays.
2010... I would suggest January 2nd if January 1st doesn't work into your schedule. I don't know your siblings, but INSIST as this situation will be a crisis if not handled and you and your mother deserve better than that. Really... you're no spring-chicken yourself... you'll need some help with this burden or destroy your own health.
Wow...are you kidding me really? Personhood? Where will it ever end...now we have to prove we are persons or is that just to unify us so they can stop using the term "undocumented"? I'm truly confused at the need for anything that declares us what we already are. That's government for ya.
The personhood initiative is quite controversial. I wrote a comment then decided to put it in my own blog...
As for the DNA testing... ...when (not if) you fail the test will they provide a ticket home?
Since I don't have a car, anything I would make off my writing would have to be "coffee money" and any "work" that would be offered to me would probably pay for the milk and sugar to go with it.
I do understand the dilemma re level of membership. I would find it difficult to go down to "upgrade", so I pay for a yearly premium because it is cheaper in the long run.

In the past two days, I have visited two different doctors' office and managed to survive their examination rooms. I have managed to avoid freezing to death twice. On Tuesday, I went to my doctor and waited in her examination room for about an hour. Fortunately, I had a ski jacket with me, so I had something to keep me warm.
On Wednesday, I took Mom to an urgent care facility. The examination room in the urgent care was as cold or colder then my doctor's examination room. Fortunately, the urgent care provided their clients with blankets to keep them warm. We arrived at the urgent care around 12:30 PM and left about 5:00 PM. My mother got a bit impatient, but there wasn't much I could do because the doctor had to read the x-ray of her ankle.
