I am attending Baker College. I will blog about my experiences class and student life. My experiences may be different from normal college students, because I am beginning school again 14 years after high school. I have four children and a husband outside of school. Follow me through my first year transition from being a stay-at-home mom, to becoming a full time college student.

Have you ever befriended someone you did not like? I have to admit it is a lot harder than it sounds. There was a guy that I could not stand in my Psychology class last quarter, and I was so happy with the thought that I would never see him again. Then he came into my Comp II class, late of course. To make matters worse, I was put into his peer review group. So, not only do I have to see him for another 5 weeks now, but I have to talk to him every tuesday and thursday. On top of all that, he has started sitting down by me at my lunch break. This may not sound bad, but that guy is irritating and gives me the creeps. I was actually relieved when I heard someone else say that they did not like him. Horrible of me I know, but it did make me feel better.

There are many people that I have met in my classes that I do like. I have met a lot of other parents who face the same difficulties as I do. Worries about day care, sick kids, and the balance between family and school are more common than I thought.
