A Conservative's Viewpoint
The views of a homeschooling mom of four when it comes to the political world around me.

I have long been loathe to watch the news with four small children in the house. Thanks to the miracles of Tivo, however, I can keep track of what is going on around me and pause when the kids are in the room.

The more that I watch and listen, the more concerned that I am. I will confess that, despite the fact that I was a straight A student, I retain very little from my public school days. However, as a homeschooling mom, I am committed not only to teaching my children but to increasing in my own personal knowledge. I read and study history, among other things.

I am by far a stronger writer than I am a speaker, and so it is my goal to raise not only my own awareness but also the awareness of those around me. Consequently, you will find many of these essays posted on the internet and on my facebook page. It is my hope that others will come to not only recognize what is going on around them but also be moved to action.

Please feel free to comment, but please do so civilly. I welcome opinions that do not mimic my own, and I welcome intelligent, thought-provoking discussion, but I do NOT welcome name-calling.
