Red Sky At Night [#1568565]
A new journal header.

They say there's doom in the red skies of morning, that a sailor should beware and take heed of Mother Nature and her fickle finger. No good comes from a blood red sky when the cock crows, or so the legend goes. Me, I'm more of a night person, and I like the idea that I may expect delight when the dusk brings on a full-flowered nightfall. I will always find myself more interested in looking at the red sky of night, knowing that something good is meant to happen, preferring to look to the west, than see the trouble looming from the east. I hope that this journal will be in keeping with my good intentions, that there are more tales of ruby-hued nights then there are mornings. I can't make any promises, though. I don't control the weather.

This is the fifth journal. The first three have been lost forever, bobbing somewhere in the seas of cyberworld. The fourth can be viewed here: "The Five Strands of A Sedentary Empress"

My need to purge knows no bounds, but as it seems to be the only exercise I get, I must press on.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think the thing that drains you the most is having a good period, only to go backward. I mean, if you never feel good you never stand a chance of massive disappointment. Amazing to me, too, that you can develop negative feelings about the things in life that you hold most dear. Something most unfair in that. The thing is, having a good period should make you realize that the good is out there to be had. I seem to have trouble focusing on that!

I hope you feel better, too. Perhaps it's a seasonal thing?

Having read this journal (and the previous) cover to cover, I can only see how much better you are doing now, compared to back when you last had anxiety issues. I mean, you are managing to still work! I know from personal experience (I'm havign relapses at the moment too) how hard it is to not just give in and give up.
So, keep believing in the good and in tomorrow and more than that, believe in yourself :)

Thanks, Kay. Frankly, I'm stunned that I care as much about this as I do. Most of my friends don't seem to care much about that part of their lives anymore and view it as an obligation more than anything else. That said, no one appears to be discontent, which I find kind of sad, somehow.

I'm calming down a bit, and I have talked to him which has helped loads. Still not ready to swing from the chandelier, but there's always tomorrow!

This does happen to everyone, as much as I can understand your concern. 8 months into my relationship with the most attractive woman I've ever known and we both have the occasional 'off' days.

I know it's easier said than done, but the more you work yourself up about it, the worse it'll get. Talk to him about it in a proactive manner, set aside a couple of hours where it's just the two of you, and go to town, so to speak.

The spark ain't gone from what you've said. You just need to reconnect :)
